Bells jingling draw Doc out of where he's working on his tablet. Cub at least has the decency to shed his outer layer of armor before falling face first into the nest next to him.
"Hello to you too. Are you injured?" Doc greets his boyfriend, who obviously just got back from another evening out trying out the villaining thing. His ridiculous idea of how to get close to his hero crush.
"'s fine. Saw Skizz on the way in. He patched me up." Cub barely lifts his head far enough out of the bedding to speak.

"And you're sure this will work?" Scar tries his best to look at Vex. All he gets for his efforts is a reprimand to hold still, and his head firmly repositioned.
"About ninety three point seven percent, yeah. This is just the first test, keep in mind, so you won't actually be going very fast yet. This is mostly about getting you into the air and getting a baseline to start calibrating the steering." Vex reminds him. The usual mask Scar wears at Vex's villainous lair in place of his Hero one has been replaced by some sort of headpiece Vex gave him. Something about needing to place electrodes on his skin under the mask. Vex is busy rooting through Scar's hair to stick more of them to Scar's scalp. By now, he surely looks like a porcupine with all those short pokey things stuck to his head.---
Vex built Scar a suit that lets him fly. Or will, once the calibration has been done.

Summary
Scar sprints up to the plane, just barely on time. He'd gotten caught up in a battle right before they were slated to leave, and had barely made it to the airport on time. His Hotguy uniform is hastily hidden under a jacket and some loose sweats. That's normal airplane clothing, right? Good thing he left his luggage at Cub's. What little of it wasn't already at Cub's anyway.
There! Cub's plane! Hard to miss with the giant ConCorp logo on it. Not that there aren’t other ConCorp planes, but Cub's is the only private one. And the closest one to Scar.
"I'm here!" He yells, sprinting up the stairs two steps at a time.
"Finally!" Grian grabs him by the collar, manhandling him into a seat. "Cub's ready to go. He's flying this thing."

Cub, Scar, and Grian go on a vacation together. Good thing Cub has a private plane!
