Summary
Derek peeked up at Stiles, caught him staring, and smirked a little. Stiles shrugged, unashamed. That seemed to only spur Derek on, and his smirk widened.
“So, Mikolaj Stilinski —”
Stiles winced visibly, though the pronunciation was flawless, as was everything else about Derek.
“Hm?” Derek hummed, getting Stiles to crack a smile at the teasing tone Derek carried. Derek raised an eyebrow, silently asking for more. More of what Stiles wasn’t sure, but he could assume.
He waved a hand in the air, as if brushing the subject away. “Nah, you don’t want to hear the sad tale of poor orphan Mikolaj. It’s a bit of a downer.”
Derek raised both of his eyebrows in a challenge and scooted closer to Stiles on the log. He cocked his head to the side, like a dog, obviously interested in hearing something.Series

Summary
Derek was lying on his back in the grass, a wide happy smile across his face. On his lap, he held a miniature version of Jason whom he was bouncing up and down on his knee. The kid looked no older than three.
Heh. Kid.
Another baby satyr sat next to Derek’s head, pushing picked flowers into his hair. Its tongue was stuck out of the corner of its mouth, in concentration.
A third child stood from near Derek’s hip and waddled over to their father. The baby looked like it was a new walker the way it stumbled on its hooves, and it forced a coo to break out of Stiles.
Derek noticed him then, and Stiles felt his heart skip when that megawatt smile was turned towards him. “Hey. We have some visitors.”Series

Summary
Derek appeared from behind the third car, his Toyota, now fully dressed thanks to some borrowed clothes. He looked…alive. And that’s an honest assessment. There’s a spring in his measured steps, a relaxation in his face. His eyes looked clear, no furrow to his brow. Content, he looked content.
Stiles was jealous.Series

Summary
“I have just the thing for you. A coin.” The witch produced a golden coin out of thin air and spun it around on her open palm; an innocent gesture ruined by the blood staining the hand due to the wound inflicted on her bicep.
Derek was done with her tricks. He leaped then, tackling the witch and pinning her to the forest floor. She cackled, blonde hair spilling all over her face as she threw herself around. She had definitely cracked. She took the hand grasping the coin tightly between three fingers and bopped him on the nose with it, inciting more giggles. Derek snarled and tore her apart.Series

Summary
“Could you do me a favor, Stiles?”
“Anything!” The response was overjoyed enthusiasm, something only an innocent child could possess.
“Could you take this out to Derek? See if he’d like to eat something?”
The child was quiet for a moment. “I don’t think he wants food, Dad.”
The sheriff inhaled sharply, Derek could hear his surprise.
The child continued. “Food tastes bad. After.”
Derek heard the sheriff swallow. “Offer it anyway. Make sure he takes the water.”
“Okay,” the child agreed, and the office door creaked open. Derek’s eyes shot back down to the floor.Series
