“I don’t care! He’s a dead guy; why does he need a wife?” Satsuki kept insisting, not yet beaten. She kept squeezing Seiji’s hand back. “You don’t marry dead guys!”
“You do, though, if it’s to appease a spirit or so a younger sibling can marry without offending the ghost of his elder,” Seiji reminded her sister. She knew Satsuki had heard the same stories as her from Grandmother. But apparently, either Satsuki hadn’t listened at all, or she was mulishly refusing to believe it was true. “And we need to appease the Sasaki clan’s spirits so they will stop tormenting us,” she insisted.
Young Date Seiji is pushed by part of her family to honor a long-time family tradition to protect the clan from the wrath of a vengeful ghost that has plagued their lineage since the Warring States Era. She's a Date, so she'll do her duty.
Long before he was the Yami Masho, Anubisu once said something half in jest and half in anger. He still deals with the consequences from time to time, much to his annoyance and occasional pleasure.
He was not prepared for the Date's last offering, though, nor to start caring so much already.

If said ghost was real, perhaps he’d kick Uncle Michizou’s ass for Touma, if she asked nicely?
Or perhaps he’d drive her mad with nightmares, and Touma wouldn’t have to worry about life in general.
In either case…
“I guess you’re going to be stuck with me, Kuroda Jirougorou,” she mumbled before curling on herself and closing her eyes, waiting.
A scheme to get revenge by proxy (or at least, that's how Touma sees things) forces eleven years-old Hashiba Touma into marriage with a purported Demon. Unless it's just a ghost? The Kuroda family has several stories about their ancestor, none of them particularly reassuring for her.
Blah. Well. If she can't escape it, she'll bear with it in the end.
As for Gen Masho Rajura, he did not expect to find himself married by proxy for the second time of his existence, and NOT to someone as infuriating as his new bride. The fact she's a child is not even the most frustrating thing about her!
