"I was talking to John yesterday," Harry starts, watching Lucy carefully.
She sets down the paper she'd been half-heartedly reading over breakfast and stares at him.
"...You," she says slowly, "were talking to John."
Harry clears his throat. "Yeah. We, uh, we got coffee."
She takes a second to process that idea, the image of Harry and John in the same sort of coffee shop, just... talking. She can't picture it.
