Summary
This whole situation was still very new to Newt. When Thomas and Gally had approached him about joining their relationship, he had been both shocked and thrilled. He spent most of his free time hanging out with them anyway, and slowly felt as though he had been integrating into their lives as it was, so it meant the world to him when they made the step to officially bring him into their little world.
But it had only been a week. One week officially of a whole new chapter in Newt's life. So, letting himself into Thomas and Gally's apartment in the middle of the day with his brand new key sent a wave of goosebumps up his arms.

Gally tore his eyes away from the cafe door and turned a raised eyebrow Thomas' way. "Really?" he deadpanned.
"Not this," Thomas clarified, gesturing to the small wooden table they were seated at. "But like... the fact that this is... kinda working. Like, the three of us."

Thomas had slept in. He had been hoping to have the laundry done by this point, to have some actual clothes to wear, but his intermittent insomnia had reared its ugly head the night before, only allowing him to fall asleep as Gally was rising for day. The resulting delay to Thomas' day had left him... underprepared.
