That Owen had considered leaving Chimera before the incident, because of Curt. That Curt was the reason all that had changed. And now they were here, with Owen firmly on the opposing side, about to torture and kill him. And while Owen had no choice if he wanted to keep his cover, being so close to completing his mission too, he was absolutely going to enjoy doing it.
