“This time, it isn’t a gift, Akechi-kun.” Maruki said gently. “This is more… a way for you to understand what I’m doing is purely for your benefit.” He snapped his fingers, the sound echoing throughout the room. A screen started to descend in front of the group, flickering.
“There are so many things in this world that we’d be… happier without.” He explained as he stepped around the screen to enter their view once more. “It took me a while to see that certain memories aren’t meant to stick with us.” He said, voice shaky. “Traumatic events, regrets, and alike.”
He took a deep breath and snapped his fingers once more. “Please, watch this, and I’m sure you’ll understand why I did the things I did.”

He blinked before successfully fighting down the blush that threatened to rise on his cheeks. He put on a grin. “Sorry, it’s just I’ve never seen someone so beautiful with such gorgeous silver hair.”
