Clark decides to give up being "Clark Kent" because he feels guilty about not saving everybody all the the time. Bruce rescues him, reminding him of the 'why'. Sweet and funny, a thoughtful exploration of identity and humanity. The Damian and Clark parallel worked nicely, too.

Work 1: Clark Kent’s life is a fine balance between Superman, the League, his responsibilities, and… and, well. Clark Kent. Fine, and failing: something’s got to give, and there’s only one thing that can.
He’ll… He’ll adjust, after he ties off a few loose ends from Clark Kent’s life. Loose ends like, helping Jimmy Olsen fetch and carry for Cat Grant’s sit-down interview with Bruce Wayne.
(Bruce sees this issue and intervenes.)
Work 2: Clark Kent, still off-balance, charmed and confused, braves the Bats and parries the Planet.
(Aka him and Bruce start a relationship.)
