Summary
It felt like several minutes passed before anything did happen and what had happened was that Tim felt gloved fingers slide into his long hair and gather the strands painfully into the fist. The hand grasped and used the hair to pull Tim’s head up off the floor and the pain forced a gasp out of him before he could help it. It didn’t stop till Tim was sitting upright and then his head and back was forced into the wall that was behind him, the force of it enough to knock one more noise out of him.
“Well aren’t you lucky?” A voice, a mechanical voice finally spoke and alarms went off in Tim’s head. Oh no…that sounded too familiar for comfort. “I just got the best deal on the local bird, bought you for a song, I hope you’re grateful.”

Tim never listened to the people around him pointing out his bad habits, like not getting enough sleep or taking care of himself in the least. He always ignored and it had been fine.
Until it wasn't and now he was stuck in the last sort of situation he had ever wanted to himself and really it was his own fault. To be fair, he's never passed out on roof top like this before or been kidnapped just to be auctioned off.

“I don’t have time to explain, just follow my lead, don’t give us away and whatever you do, do not contradict me!”
That was all Robin heard before he was suddenly hauled up with gloved hands from his vantage point on the top of the warehouse across the one over that he was watching. He hadn’t even heard Stray approach him, which seemed impossible cause the cat burglar was clearly in some kind of rush and now that Robin was aware of him, making quite a ruckus.
“What the hell are you-“
“Shh! This is gonna be hard enough without your questions and your banter.” The cat hissed, ripping off his cape with fluid ease and forcing Robin into a black leather jacket. Where had that come from? “Well! Zip it up! And put these one, honestly, you are wearing panties.” Stray huffed, throwing a pair of leather pants in the vigilante’s face before scouting around the door that lead down into the warehouse.
Jason was just trying to keep to his mission, case out this warehouse near the docks, see if anything was going on there to confirm the whispers, but no, stupid Stray just had to crash his patrol and make a huge mess of things. He didn't sign up for this, he was Robin Boy Wonder, not cat boy's little helper.

Summary
This all started when Stray dragged Robin along to pretend to be his muscle/fake boyfriend, taking him to see what turned out to be a bunch of gun runners confusing what the local Cats moved in Gotham, but that was back then. Their first date.
These days the Cat and Bird still got up to plenty of trouble, but there was nothing fake about it anymore. There was a new Bat and Cat romance in the dark city of Gotham and unlike the ones before them that trained them and raise them, Stray and Robin were determined to Make It.

Tim was a little nervous.

This was going to be his first night out on his own, flying solo, on his very own heist! He’d been working and training with her for months now after the months he had begged her to take him on as her partners and it was time to really prove himself. It was do or die time!
Maybe not that dramatic and he certainly would rather not die over stealing a couple handfuls of jewels, but he was putting a lot on the line for this job. He knew Selina liked having him around, she told him as much, but he still felt like he had a lot to prove. That he needed to show her that it wasn’t a mistake taking him on and that he could be useful to her.

“It’s a good thing you’re going to marriage counseling, good heavens.” Alfred said with a shake of his head.

“Do you two not call each other by your actual names?” A voice at the door startled the two of them; everyone in their line of work was far too sneaky. “It’s time for dinner.” Damian rolled his eyes before walking away, not bothering shutting the door behind him.
“You know, when you call me babybird, Bruce’s eyebrow twitches.” Tim said, getting up from his chair and stretching out his limbs. “It’s kind of funny.”
The boys decided to have a little fun at dinner with the rest of the Bat Clan, enjoying the way the rest of them absolutely hated it~
