The days became weeks, and the weeks months, Alicent had quickly become accustomed to the new reality of her son's face. She had been left with no choice but to accept it and get on with life because she knew there was nothing else within her reach to do. What she was not being able to accept, even though it happened every day, was the chronic pain that Aemond had been left with.
