Despite Gideon’s best efforts, Captain Lance and Dr. Sharpe continue to fall in love with each other.
Gideon would have to accumulate more data to be sure, but the past three attempts indicate that, by now, it actually takes them less time to get together with each new reset.
Maybe it’s time to change tactics.

It sounds nice in Dr. Sharpe’s voice: gentle and sweet, and soothing, above all, like whoever she is speaking to is someone precious, someone who is not just an empty shell, someone who Dr. Sharpe cherishes.
Sara isn’t any of these things, though, and the memory’s not real. Gideon must have manufactured it and put it into her CPU to punish her.
