Summary
When Derek woke up, he thought he was in a dream.
There were posters littering the familiar forest green walls that he hadn’t seen in years—Star Trek, Black Eyed Peas, even a Destiny’s Child one he had completely forgotten was on the back of his bedroom door that he’d stolen from Laura’s wall when she’d left for college. A burgundy and white letterman jacket was slung over his desk chair, bold letters spelling his surname and his basketball number across the back with Beacon Hills Cyclones Basketball on the lower half.
This wasn’t possible—this room had burned to ash years ago, and his nightmares almost never featured such simple scenes as this one. There were no foreboding feelings, no sharp smell of smoke, no guilt-inducing screams.
And just as he was about to dig his clawed hand into his thigh in an attempt to wake himself from this maybe-dream, he remembered.

Summary
“We’re in the future,” Laura realized. “Like… literally, the future.”
“There’s still no flying cars,” Stiles told her solemnly. “We do have pretty cool cell phones, though.”
“What do you mean we should be dead?” Talia asked.
“Would you like a dictionary?” Peter offered. “I’m sure we have one around here somewhere.”
"Let me try to explain,” Stiles said. “Peter and I found a book in Deaton’s clinic about Shadow Fae magic and there was a spell to be able to talk to the dead by using their objects. Peter thought those both belonged to Talia, but I guess one belonged to Laura. It was supposed to work similarly to my nightmare magic, where we would go into a dream dimension...not bring you guys from the past into the future.”
“But alas, here you are,” Peter grumbled in annoyance.

Summary
When the young mage looked back up at Liam, she had a mischievous glint in her eyes and her black-painted lips were pulled into a lopsided smirk. “It’s a time travel spell, and your mate wants to change something from his past, right?”
Liam’s eyebrows shot up toward his hairline. “Time travel is real?”
“It’s discouraged, but yeah.” She shrugged. “If the spell works, I can send you back to a specific time for about an hour. Then you’d get pulled back to this time and whatever changes you made in the past would take effect. Nobody except you and I would remember this reality.”
Theo wouldn’t remember him. He wouldn’t remember the pack. He wouldn’t remember anything they’d been through.
But he would have a shot at a life that wasn’t ruled by PTSD.
“I’ll do it.”

Summary
“Talia?” Peter whispered.
He died. This must’ve the afterlife. It was very… domestic. He could smell the plants outside the open window and could hear small footsteps running around upstairs. A voice he recognized as his brother’s was coming from the kitchen, humming the melody of a vaguely familiar song.
“Did you die?” Talia teased. “I’ve been calling your name for ages—you’re usually such a light sleeper.”
“I think I did,” Peter answered honestly.

Summary
Stiles had quite the track record for creating disastrous outcomes with the risky things he did, so he was almost surprised when he realized that he hadn’t fucked up this time. Well, apart from going behind his mate’s back to time travel nearly a decade into the past—but it was only for an hour. It was basically the same as when Derek abandoned him to secretly go to Del Taco with Isaac in the middle of the night the previous week. The important thing was that Erica and Boyd were standing there, alive, only a few yards away from him for the first time in almost ten years.

Summary
Derek tensed as he heard a faint pop behind him—and quickly spun around at the sound of a stick breaking under someone’s foot. He bared his blunt teeth at the stalker, who immediately raised his gloved hands in surrender.
“Hey, Derek,” the man greeted, sending an anxious uncertainty coursing through Derek. He’d never seen this stranger before—he definitely would have remembered him, if he had. “I’m Stiles, and I’m not here to cause any problems. I promise.”
“That’s exactly what someone would say if they were gonna cause problems,” Derek reasoned. He wasn’t entirely sure what to do in this situation. If Stiles tried to attack him, he knew to howl for help—but Stiles wasn’t attacking. He wasn’t doing much of anything, actually, so it felt a bit preemptive to start crying out for his mom.
