Summary
Thoros Nott was raised to be quiet. He must uphold his family’s tenuous place among the Sacred Twenty-Eight and stand beside the Blacks, as Nott men have always done. Unfortunately, Thoros decides to speak for himself one day and befriends Abraxas Malfoy. He is thus set on a path towards war and death, one intrinsically tied to the man that will ruin Abraxas’ life: Tom Riddle.
At Hogwarts, Riddle is a star yet to implode, but the black hole he will leave in his wake—Lord Voldemort—will drag everyone Thoros holds dear toward darkness. Though Thoros doesn’t follow Riddle into that abyss, he stands very, very close to those who do. Until one day, the plunge feels less like a choice and more like an inevitability.
This is not a story of a man who makes history, but one who merely survives it.
Or: A retelling of Tom Riddle’s origin story, spanning from 1940 to 1981, through the eyes of Thoros Nott. He wasn’t important enough to matter to the story—just unlucky enough to be caught in the crossfire.

Summary
The world believes Lord Voldemort's been dead since 1981. He wishes for it to stay that way, thank you. It is 1998, now, and Hermione Granger signs up for an international mentorship program as a stepping stone for her after Hogwarts life. Draco Malfoy, never to be one-upped, signs up for the same program and scores Gilderoy Lockhart as his mentor, knowing he is Hermione's first choice. Meanwhile, Hermione is stuck with some obscure, hermit NOBODY that can talk to snakes. Ugh. Her life is the worst.
Or:
Hermione Granger has no idea what she has gotten herself into, all while Tom Riddle plays an American persona very, very badly. Not long into their mentorship, the anonymity of Tom Riddle fades and he must face consequences for his crimes.A/N: JANUARY 2025. STORY IS BEING REWRITTEN

Summary
''Oh for fuck's sake -'' Amelia Benson said when a man ran into her on the London metro. ''Watch where you're going, you fucking cunt.''
''Dial it up, BBC, I nearly recognized you.'' Lord Voldemort said, surprise warming his voice.
Amelia Benson stopped dead in her tracks. She peered at the man in front of her, hidden behind no less than four different disguises, ''Trade school, is that you?''
Before he could answer, more people, dressed very oddly in robes and pretending they were costumes, appeared on the metro. ''Moody, I don't see him.'' ''Keep an eye out.'' Discreetly, by which Amelia meant not at all discreetly, they took out their wands and tried to figure something out. She glanced back at Voldemort and saw that he was sliding down his seat, a sheepish expression on his face.
''How's life?'' He had the audacity to mouth.
''Bad every time you turn up.''Or: Amy Benson and Tom Riddle killed a kid when they, themselves, were kids and that set the tone for their lives going forward.
