Summary
Mal went searching through the huge castle. She wondered how the Evil Queen never got lost. She stopped in front of a door with the lock outside. Mal frowned, knowing why someone would do that. It was mostly to punish the kids. But the Evil Queen had not children.
Did she?
Mal reached for the lock and turned it. Slowly turning the knob, she stepped inside. She peeked inside the room and found it bare. There was a bed and a mirror. There were make up on the table, but nothing else. Mal stepped inside and walked towards the bed, seeing a lump there. She peeked over the blankets and was met with sad, tired brown eyes, blue strands of hair visible. Mal couldn’t help but frown.
A part of Mal wanted to just leave her, but another part felt like she couldn't. Her eyes shifted to the door, wishing one of the boys to arrive so they could deal with the kid, but no one came in. Mal turned to the little girl.
“Hey, I’m Mal, can you tell me your name?”
The little child blinked at her, before nodding slowly. “E-Evie,” the squeaky voice answered, and Mal gave her, what she hoped was a nice smile.

Summary
“I’m sorry,” Evie whispered, before starting to cry. Mal rubbed her back, holding her close.
“It’s not your fault.”
“He won’t be messing with ye anymore,” Harry told the group, giving them a nod. Mal smiled, holding Evie close. The little girl stopped crying and looked at the people around her.
Evie pointed to Uma’s hat. “Pirate. Mal, look, pirate.” Uma stared at the little girl. “Hi Ms. Pirate.” Evie waved at her with a smile, while wiping the tears with her other hand.
“Hi Princess,” Uma greeted. Mal watched the other teen. She released Evie and allowed the little girl to walk up to the three pirates.
Evie giggled. She looked at her pseudo-parents. Mal gave her a nod. Evie walked up to Uma and smiled up at her. “Hi." Uma’s eyes shifted, to Mal, before ruffling Evie’s hair. The little girl giggled, shaking her head. She gave Uma a toothy grin. “Hi,” she said a third time. Evie pointed to Uma’s hat. “What’s that?”
Uma took off her hat and looked at it. “My captain’s hat.” Uma looked at Evie, seeing her curious look. Uma sighed and placed the hat on Evie’s head. It fell over her eyes. Evie giggled, pushing it off her eyes

Summary
“Library?” Evie suggested, looking so hopeful. The library was one of Audrey’s least favorite places, but just looking at the look on Evie’s face, she couldn’t say no. Audrey gave her a nod and the little girl squealed in delight.
Audrey watched with a smile as Evie skipped ahead of her. Audrey never expected to love one of the isle kids but Evie made it so easy. The little girl was all smiles and sunshine, something she didn’t know Isle kids knew about. The little girl would just smile up at Audrey and the older girl became puddy in her hands.
If she never got to meet Evie, she would have been said that it was all pawn for evil. But she did. And she got to see how the other villains acted around the small girl. And the little girl seemed to have no evil bone in her body. Evie has an air around her that made people want to nurture. That made people want to make her smile.

The Evil Queen let out a laugh. “You’ve been useless since you’ve been born, do you really think I’d celebrate your birthday?”

Summary
“Your mother was good before she was evil. What’s to say you’re not the same?” Queen Leah piped in again.
“Because she has us. Because she has people who love her. Because she has Evie,” Audrey said, before turning to the group. “I know everyone wants best for Evie, and having a stable home is all part of it. Want her to be good. But what about what Evie wants? She would want someone who knows her. Someone who knows her favorite fruit, and shockingly enough it’s not apples. No one knows Evie like Mal does. It would be pure evil to separate her and her daughter.”

Summary
She was born in the spring. Not that it made any difference in the Isle. Summer, fall, spring, winter, they were all the same.
She was born in the spring. The Evil Queen looked at the small child, seeing blue hair at the top of the baby’s head. The Evil Queen felt a surge of anger. Her child didn’t have beautiful black hair like Snow White did. And if her daughter wasn’t going to be more beautiful than that bitch, then was it worth keeping the child?
The baby’s little fist moved around, as her face turned pink. The baby started to cry and the Evil Queen gritted her teeth. The child sounded horrible. She looked horrible. She didn’t know what she did to deserve such a horrible baby.

Summary
“With the new Queen, comes a Princess,” he said, turning and kneeling in front of the little girl. “Evie, you are now my daughter. And you’re the daughter of the Queen of Auradon. That means that you are now officially the Princess of Auradon,” Ben told her, reaching for the second, smaller crown.
“I-I’m a real princess?” Evie asked in a small voice, her eyes wide.
Ben nodded. “You are a real Princess.”

Summary
“Evie!” she heard someone call. She looked around, only for something to be placed above her head for a second time in her life. Her arms were quickly pinned to her sides. She felt herself get picked up off the ground. Evie shrieked as she kicked her legs, but her captor wouldn’t release her. “Stop it!” A male voice shouted, causing Evie to flinch and stop fighting.
“I want Mommy,” Evie whispered, feeling it getting harder to breathe.
“You’ll get her, when we send you back,” the man said, dragging Evie away. Evie kicked her legs, causing her kidnapper to drop her. Evie wasn’t able to put her hands in front of her from stopping the fall, and she hit the ground. Her head bounced on the pavement. Evie started to cry from the pain in her head. She was picked off the ground. Evie started to feel dizzy, giving her kidnapper an easier time to take her.

Summary
“Charming!” Audrey snapped, walking up to the blond boy and pushing him into the lockers. Mal felt Ben hold her back. Carlos grabbed her hand, giving her a smile. Jay was watching Audrey with heart eyes.
“Audrey?” Chad questioned, looking confused. “What’s going on?”
Mal’s eyes flashed green at the boy’s confusion. Chad tensed up, seeing the two angry girls in front of him. “I hear your brother is Evie’s class.”
“I, yeah, he’s mentioned her once or twice,” Chad said, paling.
Audrey reached over to Harry and grabbed his hook. She held it against Chad’s neck. “Well, he better not be bullying her. Because I know he shares your views, and I have no problem making a seven year old suffer.”

Summary
Seven year old Evie looked up at Ben with wide eyes. “We get to dress up? I get candy?”
Ben nodded his head, feeling her excitement. Evie suddenly got shy.
“C-can I pick your costume?” Evie asked, her voice small.
Ben turned to the group of teens, a smirk on his face. He noticed some of them already caught up, but others hadn’t. “As King, I am ordering that you choose everyone’s costumes.”
Evie’s eyes lit up. She turned to the group, who weren’t able to say no. Evie beamed, and some of the teens had nervous expressions on their faces.

Summary
Evie tried to glare at him. “You lied,” she said, trying to sound angry but sounding just pathetic (cute pathetic).
“I lied?” Carlos questioned, amused.
Evie nodded her head, blinking hard. “I don’t feel good.”
“I know, we just have to ride it out,” he whispered, reaching over to run his hand through Evie’s hair.
Evie let out a whine, but leaned into Carlos’s hand. Her eyes started to flutter close.
“Love you,” she said, yawning. Carlos froze, his eyes wide. He stared at the sleeping girl, feeling his heart started to beat quicker.
“I love you too,” Carlos whispered.
He, Jay and Mal spoke about Evie’s firsts, and he was so excited to tell the other two he was the first to get an I love you from Evie. They were going to be so jealous.

“Yeah?”
“You and Mally and Carlos make me happy. I like being happy,” Evie said, looking up at the teenager.
Jay stopped walking and looked down at Evie, feeling joy. “You make us happy too.”
