“A what now? Hey! Did ya just call me a clown?” Griffon ruffled his feathers, electricity crackling in them.

Vergil has been restored, leaving Griffon and co. without a host. But the demon bird rather loves living, and seeks a new contract for their demonic trio.
---Inspired by the lore in the V manga! I couldn't help wonder what would've happened if Griffon had instead forged a second contract and stuck around. It does refer to the manga quite a bit, and I also went all out on the "alternate ending" thing, so expect a good amount of canon divergence. :)

Summary
When Morrison had sent her all the way up to the freezing north to a backwater shrine halfway up a mountain on some rumours of demonic activity, Lady had expected an idiot trying to release a seal again. Then a blue-clad figure had come smashing through the cavern's wall, and even through all the dust, there was no mistaking Vergil. Not just -any- idiot, then. Whatever his plan is (and whyever he's not dead at the top of the Qliphoth as Dante had said), Lady's not about to let him get away with it.
Except... Vergil is nothing like what she remembers, especially when he interacts with Griffon and the other demons, and Lady's curiosity overtakes her doubts. Maybe, just this once, she can ask questions first and shoot later.
