“Oh yeah? Even if you weren’t prepared for it?” she asked, and Felix crossed his arms in defiance.
“Especially if I was--” Felix began, but Annette cut him off, a blinding sigil appearing between them and a ray of light arcing towards Felix. He tried to throw up a counter sigil, but he wasn’t fast enough. He stumbled backwards as the spell hit him square in the chest, and Annette laughed as Felix’s limbs began to tingle. “Annette, what the fuck!”
