Catra has a baby in her arms.
Some part of her mind that’s slowly wading through the heaviness that is settling into every inch of her body and being, points out that they’re hers. Her baby. Her kitten.
Their pale fur is still damp in patches. Waters like tides that had flown between the both of them for the last few months. They’re so fresh to the world. So new to it. She hasn’t even had a chance to clean them thoroughly because every time she tries, the nurses still busying around the room send her curious and concerned looks. They’ll leave eventually. None here have witnessed the birth of a magicat cub, after all.
