“Now that you’ve seen it, I apologize… you’re in this whether you like it or not. For a lifetime.” Phoenix Wright proposes to Miles Edgeworth inside a tattered musty room in the bowels of the once illegal Borsch Club. The proposal is curt and dry; his behaviour is sketchy and avoidant.
Days later, Miles is hired as a civil attorney by a mysterious woman disguising her threats with polite requests. “Doesn’t it drive you mad, Mr. Edgeworth? …About how little you know of the man known as Phoenix Wright,” she taunts.
Now, Miles Edgeworth must navigate a spiral of nostalgia, betrayals, family drama, obsession, and even murders; but also uncovering a weirdly wholesome, romantic, and the liberating adventures that marked Phoenix Wright’s formative years, alongside an unlikely team.

Summary
What starts as pillow talk between Franziska and Maya turns into an argument when Phoenix and Miles's relationship is brought up.
Maya is convinced that Edgeworth is too emotionally constipated to realise Phoenix has feelings for him. Meanwhile, Franziska believes it to be Phoenix's lack of reciprocation and understanding of complex emotions preventing a relationship.
Determined to prove the other wrong, Franziska and Maya drag Phoenix and Miles on outings they believe will confirm their respective opinions. The chaos that ensues provides evidence neither had taken into account.

Enter one Miles Edgeworth, wanting to help him any way he can. In a very much platonic, friendship manner. There are definetly no unnecessary feelings to be had!
...Even when the mans eyes are twinkling as bright as the Christmas lights on the tree, or his smile as sweet as the sugar cookies he and Trucy made, there are definitely no underlying feelings. Most certainly not.

There's no way that's right and Edgeworth knows it, ending his disappearing act to return home and find the truth.
