The tour bus rolled steadily through the dark, the low hum of the engine the only real sound left. Most of the members had disappeared into their bunks an hour ago. Soft blue light from a phone screen flickered once in the hallway and then went out. The air smelled faintly of stage makeup remover and the citrus hand sanitizer someone had left open on the counter.
Lara sat in the rear lounge with her legs stretched across the long couch, hoodie half-zipped, hair still damp from her shower. She had been scrolling without really seeing anything for twenty minutes. Her body still carried the leftover heat of the performance—muscles pleasantly tired, skin warm.
Yoonchae appeared in the doorway like she wasn’t sure she was allowed to be there. Oversized white T-shirt slipping off one shoulder, bare legs, hair slightly messy from the shower. She hesitated, then padded over and sat on the opposite end of the couch, knees pulled up to her chest.
For a while neither of them spoke. The silence wasn’t uncomfortable, but it was charged.
“Can’t sleep either?” Lara finally asked, voice quiet so it wouldn’t carry.
Yoonchae shook her head. “Too wired. And… too quiet. The quiet makes my brain louder.”
Lara smiled a little. “What is your brain saying?”
Yoonchae hugged her knees tighter. “Stupid things. That I should’ve hit that last note cleaner. That my feet still hurt. That I keep thinking about—” She stopped herself and looked down at her own hands.
Lara waited. When Yoonchae didn’t finish, she shifted so she was facing her more fully. “About what?”
Yoonchae’s ears turned pink. “Nothing important.”
“It’s important if it’s keeping you up.”
Another pause. Then, very softly: “You.”
The word hung in the air between them.
Lara’s pulse kicked once, hard. She kept her voice even. “Me?”
Yoonchae nodded without looking up. “The way you looked at me during the bridge tonight. And yesterday during practice. And… a lot of other times. I keep replaying it.”
Lara let the silence stretch just long enough to make Yoonchae glance up. When their eyes met, Lara didn’t look away.
“I’ve been looking,” she admitted. “For a while.”
Yoonchae’s breath caught. “How long?”
“Since the last week of Dream Academy. You were practicing the choreography alone in the studio after everyone left. I stayed to watch through the glass. You didn’t know I was there.” Lara’s voice dropped lower. “You looked so focused. And then you smiled at yourself in the mirror when you finally got the move clean. I thought about that smile for days.”
Yoonchae’s eyes widened a little. “You never said anything.”
“We were trainees. Then we debuted.
Everything moved so fast. I didn’t want to mess it up.” Lara tilted her head. “But you’ve been looking too. Don’t pretend you haven’t.”
Yoonchae’s cheeks darkened. She didn’t deny it. Instead she whispered, “I didn’t think you’d ever… notice me like that.”
“I notice everything about you.” Lara shifted closer on the couch, closing some of the distance. Not touching yet. Just nearer. “The way you bite your lip when you’re concentrating. The way your voice gets softer when you’re tired. The way you look at me when you think I’m not paying attention.”
Yoonchae’s throat moved as she swallowed. “And what do you do when you catch me looking?”
“I look back,” Lara said simply. “And I wait to see if you’ll come closer.”
The air between them felt thicker. Yoonchae’s fingers tightened around her own knees. Slowly, almost cautiously, she uncurled her legs and let them stretch out. Her bare foot brushed against Lara’s calf. Neither of them moved away.
Lara glanced down at the point of contact, then back up. “Is this you coming closer?”
Yoonchae’s voice was barely above a whisper. “Maybe.”
Lara reached out and rested her hand lightly on Yoonchae’s ankle. Just that. Warm palm against cool skin. She felt the way Yoonchae’s pulse jumped under her fingertips.
“You can still leave,” Lara said quietly.
“Go back to your bunk. Pretend this conversation didn’t happen. I’ll respect it.”
Yoonchae shook her head once. “I don’t want to leave.”
Lara’s thumb stroked once over the delicate bone of her ankle. “Then come here.”
Yoonchae hesitated for half a second, then slid across the remaining space until she was sitting right beside Lara, thighs almost touching. Lara kept her hand on Yoonchae’s ankle and let the other rest on the back of the couch behind her, boxing her in without trapping her.
They sat like that for a long moment, just breathing the same air.
“Can I touch your face?” Lara asked.
Yoonchae nodded.
Lara lifted her hand and brushed a strand of hair behind Yoonchae’s ear, fingertips trailing lightly down her jaw. Yoonchae’s eyes fluttered half-shut at the contact. Lara cupped her cheek, thumb resting just under her lower lip.
“You’ve been driving me crazy,” Lara murmured. “Every time you stand too close during formations. Every time you laugh and lean into me. I keep thinking about what it would feel like to kiss you.”
Yoonchae’s lips parted. “Then why don’t you?”
Lara’s eyes dropped to her mouth. “Because once I start, I don’t think I’ll stop at kissing.”
A soft, shaky exhale left Yoonchae. “I don’t want you to stop at kissing.”
That was the permission Lara had been waiting for.
She leaned in slowly, giving Yoonchae every chance to pull away. Their mouths met in a soft, almost careful first kiss—just lips pressing, testing. Yoonchae made a tiny sound in the back of her throat and leaned in harder. Lara’s hand slid from her cheek into her hair, angling her head so the kiss could deepen.
It stayed slow for a while. Soft presses that turned into lingering ones. Lara’s tongue traced the seam of Yoonchae’s lips and was immediately allowed inside. The kiss grew wetter, warmer.
Yoonchae’s hands came up to fist in the front of Lara’s hoodie, holding on like she might float away otherwise.
When they finally broke apart for air, both of them were breathing harder. Lara rested her forehead against Yoonchae’s.
“Still okay?” she asked.
“More than okay.” Yoonchae’s voice was already rougher. “Do that again.”
Lara kissed her again, deeper this time. One hand stayed in Yoonchae’s hair while the other slid down to her waist, slipping under the hem of the oversized shirt to rest against bare skin. Yoonchae shivered at the contact and pressed closer.
They kissed until Yoonchae was practically in Lara’s lap, until the soft sounds they were making felt too loud for the quiet bus. Lara’s hand stroked slowly up and down Yoonchae’s side, never going higher than her ribcage, never lower than her hip. Just building heat.
Eventually Lara pulled back just enough to speak against her mouth. “I want to touch you more. Tell me if it’s too much.”
Yoonchae nodded quickly. “It’s not too much. Please.”
Lara guided her fully into her lap so Yoonchae was straddling her. The new position pressed them together from chest to hips. Lara’s hands slid up under the shirt, mapping the soft skin of Yoonchae’s back, then around to her waist. She still didn’t go for her breasts yet. Instead she kissed along Yoonchae’s jaw and down the side of her neck, open-mouthed and slow.
Yoonchae’s head tipped back with a quiet sigh. Her fingers tightened in Lara’s hair.
Lara sucked gently at the spot just below her ear, then soothed it with her tongue. “You’ve thought about this,” she murmured against her skin. “Haven’t you?”
“Yes,” Yoonchae admitted, voice shaky. “A lot.”
“Tell me.”
Yoonchae hesitated, then whispered, “I’ve thought about you kissing me like this. About your hands under my clothes. About… what it would feel like if you touched me where I’m already wet.”
Lara’s hips shifted involuntarily at the words. She could feel the heat of Yoonchae through the thin layers between them. Her hands finally slid higher, cupping Yoonchae’s breasts over the soft fabric of the shirt. Yoonchae arched into the touch with a soft gasp.
“No bra,” Lara observed, voice low and approving. She brushed her thumbs over the peaked nipples through the cotton. “Were you hoping I’d notice?”
Yoonchae’s cheeks burned. “Maybe.”
Lara smiled against her neck and pinched lightly through the fabric. Yoonchae’s hips jerked. The friction made both of them inhale sharply.
“Shirt off,” Lara said quietly. “I want to see you.”
Yoonchae lifted her arms without hesitation. Lara pulled the shirt up and over her head, tossing it onto the opposite seat. For a moment she just looked—small, pretty breasts, tight pink nipples, the soft curve of her stomach, the way her chest rose and fell with quick breaths.
“Beautiful,” Lara said simply, and then she leaned in and took one nipple into her mouth.
Yoonchae’s hands flew to her shoulders. A soft, broken sound escaped her as Lara sucked gently, then harder, tongue flicking over the tip. She switched to the other breast, giving it the same slow, thorough attention while her hands stroked up and down Yoonchae’s bare back.
Only when Yoonchae was squirming in her lap, clearly aching for more, did Lara’s hands drift lower. She hooked her fingers in the waistband of Yoonchae’s underwear and paused.
“Can I take these off?”
“Yes. Please.”
Lara helped her lift her hips and slid the damp fabric down her legs, dropping it to the floor. Completely bare now, Yoonchae looked almost shy under Lara’s gaze, but she didn’t try to cover herself.
Lara’s hand slid between her thighs, fingers tracing through the slick heat there. She groaned quietly. “You’re soaked. Just from kissing and my mouth on your chest?”
Yoonchae nodded, embarrassed and turned on in equal measure. “I’ve been like this since you put your hand on my ankle.”
Lara’s fingers circled her clit slowly, barely any pressure. “Then let’s take care of that.”
She kissed Yoonchae again as she touched her—slow, deliberate strokes that made Yoonchae’s hips rock against her hand. When she finally slipped two fingers inside, Yoonchae moaned into her mouth, tight and wet and perfect around her.
Lara fucked her with her fingers in a steady rhythm, thumb rubbing tight circles over her clit. She kept kissing her the whole time, swallowing every soft sound. When Yoonchae started to tense, Lara slowed down on purpose, drawing it out.
“Not yet,” she murmured against her lips. “I want you to feel it building.”
Yoonchae whimpered in frustration but nodded, trusting her. Lara kept the pace controlled, edging her higher and higher until Yoonchae was trembling and gasping, forehead pressed to Lara’s shoulder.
“Please,” she whispered. “Lara, please—”
“Come for me.”
Yoonchae broke with a muffled cry, body clenching hard around Lara’s fingers as the orgasm rolled through her. Lara worked her through it gently, whispering soft praise against her hair until the last aftershock faded.
Only then did she carefully withdraw her fingers and bring them to her own mouth, tasting her. Yoonchae watched with dark, dazed eyes.
“Still with me?” Lara asked.
Yoonchae nodded, still catching her breath. “I want more. I want to touch you too. I want… everything.”
Lara’s smile was slow and heated. “Then we’re just getting started.”
She guided Yoonchae down onto her back on the long couch and settled between her legs. The next round was slower, hungrier. Lara kissed her way down Yoonchae’s body, lingering on her breasts, her stomach, the insides of her thighs, before finally burying her face between her legs. She licked her open with long, thorough strokes, then focused on her clit while two fingers worked inside her again.
Yoonchae’s second orgasm left her shaking and soft-eyed. Lara crawled back up and kissed her deeply, letting her taste herself.
Then it was Yoonchae’s turn. She pushed at Lara’s shoulders until Lara was the one on her back. With a mix of nervousness and determination, Yoonchae stripped Lara out of her remaining clothes and settled between her thighs. She was less experienced, but so eager—licking and sucking the way Lara guided her with soft words and the tug of her hands in her hair. When Lara came against her mouth, she did it with Yoonchae’s name on her lips.
They didn’t stop there.
Lara retrieved the harness from her bag (packed, she admitted with a crooked smile, after the third time Yoonchae had looked at her like that during practice). She put it on slowly while Yoonchae watched, eyes wide and hungry. Then she had Yoonchae on her hands and knees, sinking into her inch by careful inch until she was fully seated.
The pace started slow and deep, Lara’s chest pressed to Yoonchae’s back, one hand rubbing her clit in time with every thrust. Praise spilled from Lara’s mouth the whole time—how good she felt, how perfectly she took her, how long she’d wanted this. When Yoonchae came again it was with a broken sob, and Lara followed soon after, burying herself deep and shuddering through her own release.
Afterward they cleaned up as quietly as they could and curled together under a throw blanket on the couch. Yoonchae’s head rested on Lara’s chest, their legs tangled.
“I don’t want this to be just tonight,” Yoonchae whispered into the quiet.
Lara’s fingers stroked slowly through her hair. “It doesn’t have to be. We take it one day at a time. But I’m not going anywhere.”
Yoonchae pressed a soft kiss over Lara’s heart. Outside, the bus kept rolling through the night toward the next city. Inside, the two of them stayed wrapped around each other, the rest of the world held at bay for a little while longer.
