Summary
As the Ancestral Witches and the Company of Light clash in their final battle, the witches make one last attempt to tear the Dragon Flame from Domino—but fail. With their dying breath, they break the curse that has left Daphne bound as a spirit. Yet freedom comes at a terrible price: a second curse infects Daphne’s magical core, corrupting her essence just as she attempts to transfer the Dragon Flame to her infant sister, Bloom. Darkness consumes both sisters, reshaping them into witches.
With Domino destroyed, their family lost, and Magix now a world that would fear and hunt them, the two princesses are forced into hiding. Isolated and left with nothing but each other, grief slowly curdles into anger, resentment, and hatred. No longer the innocent heirs they once were, Daphne and Bloom embrace the darkness that has claimed them—and become something far more dangerous than the witches who cursed them.
