Summary
Lestat had confessed to Louis of his discussion with Paul after the separation of their heads from their bodies. How Paul had wished Lestat was a woman… how Lestat wished she was one too sometimes.
It wasn’t all the time. Yet it was. Lestat didn’t know how to explain it. Despite his many years walking this earth, gender wasn’t something the vampire knew how to describe accurately.
Lestat felt both woman and man. Sometimes neither. Louis told him there were terms for these feelings. Gender fluidity is what seemed to fit her best. The constant changing of it.
At first the foreign term had frightened her. Not because Lestat didn’t think it existed, but because it felt too large. Too big for her to comprehend.
