Luis was insistent on Max going over to his home while School was out. After some debating Max eventually agreed. Although, He wasn't sure if he had even told his family that they were dating, well other than his mother.
"My mamá is picking us up soon." Luis held their pet cat along with his bags in his other hand, smiling at him. "We should start saying goodbye to everyone."
"Obviously." Max smiled and picked up his bag, walking out of the dorms with Luis. First he planned to visit Hazel in her dorm and maybe Pink was there, unless she was with red.
"I'm excited." Luis nudged Max lightly, "I never had anyone over before."
Max chuckled, "Never? Not even robbie?"
"Nope."
"So I'm the first one you're inviting over?" Max grinned, "I feel honored."
"Good."
Things had gotten easier ever since Him and Luis made it official that they were dating. He wasn't so alone like he thought he would be, and people seemed to come around to him a bit more. Maybe it was because of Luis being his boyfriend, or that they were actually starting to accept him. Whatever the case was, the school year had been Manageable.
Just one thing though, Don't piss off your boyfriends Ex girlfriend if you don't want to be targeted for the rest of the year.
Targeted is a strong word. More like… relentless teasing, which almost always crossed a line just slightly into bullying. Red seemed more of a Vk than an Hk at the moment, it's a good thing he won't see her until school started again.
When he got to hazels dorm, he knocked lightly and soon enough it opened. Pink greeted him with a smile. "Max, luis, Hi." She waved happily and let the two go inside. "If you're here for Hazel she's in chloe's dorm."
"Oh, well At least we got to see you before you went home." Max smiled and gave her a quick hug, followed by Luis. "Is it just you in here?" he glanced around the dorm until he spotted a red bag on Pinks bed.
"Actually-"
"Pink, mom is-" Red stepped out of the bathroom as her smile dropped when she spotted the boys in the room. "What are they doing here?"
Pink crossed her arms disapprovingly at Reds attitude. "They're saying goodbye, do you really need to be so… Mean to them?"
"If that's your polite way of saying stop being a bitch then i don't wanna hear it." Red rolled her eyes as she zipped up her bag. "did they already say bye? It doesn't take 5 minutes to say it and leave."
Max scoffed, "Excuse me for wanting to talk to your sister before we left." he looked over at luis then back at Red. "Ya know, I'm actually going over to Luis' for the summer."
"Of course you are. I mean, good luck with that." She shot a Glare at Max, "Do you think they'll actually accept you two?"
"His mom does."
"Right." she rolled her eyes.
"At least I got invited. Can you say the same?"
This little.. Back and forth that they often did seemed to irritate Luis. Max noticed it pretty quickly whenever they ran into her. Something about Red being a pain in the ass made it hard to ignore her, so Max reacted as well.
Red scoffed, "Maybe I would've if someone hadn't kissed him."
"That was ages ago, get over it."
"Okay." Luis interrupted and grabbed Max's arm, "We'll see you later pink." He practically dragged Max out of the room and shut the door behind him.
"Don't start." Max rolled his eyes once they were in the hallway.
"Why do you always do this?"
"Do what? defend myself?"
"You weren't defending yourself, you were starting an argument." Luis rubbed the bridge of his nose, sighing. "We're leaving, and you're still starting shit with her."
Max poked him in the chest, "Me? No, She Started it, she always fucking does. I just finish it."
"Actually, I finished it this time." He nudged Max forward, "Let's just go see Hazel and chloe."
Max sighed and started to head towards chloe's dorm. He felt bad for annoying Luis, but at least it wouldn't be like that for a few months.
"I'm sorry." Max reached over to take his hand, "she just.. Pisses me off."
"That doesn't mean you have to argue with her." Luis sighed, "It's fine, i'm not mad."
"You're annoyed."
Luis let go of his hand, "Yea, I am- just drop it max, Okay?"
Max nodded, shutting up the rest of the way to chloe's dorm. He knocked on it once they were there.
"Coming!" Chloe called out before the door opened. She smiled and let them inside, "How are you guys?"
"Good." Max smiled then spotted Hazel packing some things, "Hazel!" He went over and hugged her tight.
Hazel chuckled as he hugged him back, "You better not forget me up in those mountains hatter."
"You better not replace me." Max chuckled and smiled up at her. "not that that's possible, i'm irreplaceable."
She grinned, "No one can replace you." She looked over at Luis who stood at the door, leaning against it. "Hey madrigal."
"What?"
"If anything happens to my friend I'm killing you." She threatened, then whispered to Max. "What's his deal?"
"we ran into Red." Max Muttered.
Hazel grimaced, picking up her bag from the bed. "Right, well have fun with madrigal."
"Have fun with chloe." He smirked at her, "aren't you staying at her castle?"
"She sure is." Chloe spoke up, "I'll take care of her."
"You better." Max smiled then glanced towards luis, he kept checking his phone for the time. Max looked over at the girls and waved. "I'll see you guys after summer." He started to leave, pulling Luis out with him.
He didn't mean to piss off luis this soon. They barely even left the school yet. Max looked over at Luis once they were in the hallway and sighed. "I don't want to start break with you being annoyed at me." he said softly.
"I.. know." Luis placed a kiss on his head, "I'm sorry, Red just.. Gets to me too, and if I get mad then it gets a little hard to not punch something. You also don't make it easy."
"I can't help it." Max groaned, "It's like she pushes a button and I start reacting. She just acts like she's better than me. It's annoying."
Luis put an arm around Max and sighed, "well, it'll just be us this summer, but right now we have 2 more people to say bye to."
He smiled and started to make their way to Felix and Robbie's room. Those two had been two peas in a pod ever since they became roommates. It wasn't unexpected honestly, those guys seemed close ever since they helped the queen of hearts.
"Felix!" Max knocked on the door lightly.
"Max!" the door swung open as Felix jumped on him for a hug, "I can't believe you're leaving me this summer."
Max laughed and balanced himself from Felix's hug, "It's only for the summer, we'll see each other when it's over."
"That's so far away." he groaned.
"Hey guys!" Robbie came over to give Luis a hug. "Are you two leaving?"
Luis smiled softly, "Yea, my mom will be here soon."
"We're going to miss you guys." Robbie smiled, "But we should all plan to meet sometime In the summer."
Felix lit up at the suggestion, "Yea! I'll talk to Hazel about it!"
That sounded like fun, he would miss his friends while he was away so planning to meet would make this goodbye easier.
"Alright, we'll see." Max smiled, feeling Luis nudge him.
"We gotta go." He said softly.
"Right." Max gave his friends one last hug before heading off with Luis. He felt excited to be with Luis for the summer. Max held on to Luis' Hand as they went out to the front. Luis seemed to notice the Car that his mother was in.
The two of them went over and got in the back seat. It was a pretty large van, which made sense for a big family to have. Luis seemed happy again though, especially when Luis saw his mother.
"Hi mamá," Luis smiled brightly, max always liked to look at his smile.
"Hi, you two ready to go?" Luisa asked excitedly.
Max smiled politely, "Yes Ma'am."
She nodded and then they were off. Max looked out the window and watched the school slowly leave his view. As far as he knew, the ride would be a few hours, but he didn't mind. A road trip sounded fun.
