"The god tilts his head. “I apologize, I’ve been rude. I am Zagreus, prince of the Underworld, god of blood and rebirth.” He winks at him. “Sorry you had to see me come out of the Styx like that—I’m usually much more put together. And as for why I’m helping you…” Something in his bearing shifts, changes from the casual front he was putting on to something much more serious. “That’s your mother that Hades is holding, isn’t it?”
Percy flinches. “What do you know about my mom? Is she okay? She’s not…”
“She’s perfectly fine.” Zagreus says in an unexpectedly reassuring tone. “I promise. She’s not a shade, she’s just being held in stasis.”
Relief flows through him, but… “What does that have to do with why you’re helping us, though?” He’s reminded of the saying Annabeth told him after he received the pearls from Poseidon: never trust a free lunch.
Zagreus meets his eyes. “I know a thing or two about going on an impossible quest to find one’s mother, son of Poseidon.”
OR
Zagreus emerges from the Styx in the middle of Percy's confrontation with Hades... and things start to change from there. A PJO/Hades Games crossover.

Summary
Red’s first day at Auradon Prep ends in disaster when her mother, the Queen of Hearts, launches an attack. After her failure, she is dragged away to prison leaving Red alone and guilt ridden.
Red’s best friend and tutor, Maddox, convinces her to return to school and find who she truly is. In order to ease Red, he sends Max, his anxious, but gentle son who’s never been away from Wonderland. Together both teens do their best to survive unfamiliar territory, each forming unexpected bonds. Red slowly falls for strong willed Chloe, while Max lets his walls down for the kind hearted Luis.
Everything is looking positive for the Wonderland kids, but a visit to Red’s mother changes everything. Over time, Red becomes obsessed with fixing the past and stopping her mother from ever becoming evil. After finding Maddox’s secret pocket watch one mistake shatters their reality.
Now two alternate worlds collide, and familiar faces aren’t so familiar.

"Give me an 'M'!" Luis shouted. The crowd repeated it. "Give me an 'A'!" The crowd shouted back again. "Give me an 'X'!" Red stopped cheering as she realized what was happening. She ran off as the crowd shouted the letter. "What's that spell?"
"Max!" Everyone shouted as they turned to the hatter who had a tiny miniscule smirk on his face. He feigned a look of shock for the audience he had.
"Oh my Isle, what must have brought this on?" He innocently asked, chuckling to himself as the Tourney winner started singing and dancing with everyone else.
"Max!" The boy turned to his best friend as she ran up the bleachers with Felix behind her. "Which spell did you use for the cookie?"
"Whatever one the Smees told me, the one on page 31. Why?" He asked as her face drained of color. Felix had an amused look on his face, though.
"That wasn't a love potion recipe, Max." She whispered into his ear. "It was a feeling enhancer." Max froze.
"What are you talking about?"
"Luis didn't magically fall in love with you, he's just more open about feelings that were already there." The two turned to said boy who was still singing.
"And I would give my kingdom for just one kiss, c'mon now!"
