“I hate fighting.” Mack curled closer into Will’s side, head on his chest, listening to the way that his heart beat rhythmically. It eased an ever growing ache.
Will brushed his fingers through Mack’s hair, as the tension that they both felt bled away, “I know, baby.” Will wouldn’t look at Mack, not right after they fought like this.
“Then why do we keep doing this?” It came out smaller than he had intended, a tremble to his voice that made everything feel weak.
Or…
Will and Mack have been fighting more and more ever since they moved in together. The weight of religion on one and the weight of a homophobic sport on the other. It weighs them down, straining their relationship until there is nothing left to try to hold together.
But they are meant to be together in every life, right? RIGHT???
If they’re meant to be they’ll bounce back… they have to. They’re Will and Mack
