“Less than a minute,” David replies, hands up. “I don’t know anything for sure. But I know you pretty well, Shane, and you’ve never had anyone over here who isn’t me or your mother. You’ve been friends with Hayden since your rookie season and he’s never been here.”
“I have cleaning staff,” Shane mutters petulantly, shoulders sagging in defeat.
“It’s ok, Shane,” David assures him. Ilya’s hand brushes against Shane’s and he clears his throat lightly. Shane takes a deep breath and starts talking.or
