Chapter Text

The whisky glass in Namjoon’s hand clinked softly in time with the jazz music playing faintly in the background. The dim light of the nightclub reflected in the corners of his narrowed eyes, brimming with confidence. As a recessive alpha, Namjoon was well aware of his limitations.

His pheromones would never be potent enough to bend another’s will, and he lacked the intimidating aura of those dominant alphas who loved to glare from the corner of the bar.

But Namjoon had something far more effective: a sharp mind, a sweet tongue, and a devastating dimpled smile.
In his eyes, being a recessive alpha was not a tragic fate. It was merely a minor obstacle. After all, his goal tonight was simple: to prove that a recessive alpha could still win over the sweetest omega in the room.

Namjoon’s gaze was fixed on the figure sitting alone on a bar stool in the corner of the room. The figure was wearing an oversized cream-coloured jumper that hung loosely on their frame; their slender fingers twirled the stem of a cocktail glass, and a faint, sweet scent of cinnamon wafted from their direction. Delicate, soft, and seemingly resigned. A typical omega in need of protection.

Namjoon adjusted the collar of his shirt—the top two buttons deliberately undone—smoothed his hair back, then strode confidently towards the figure.

“Sitting alone in a noisy place like this feels like a crime,” said Namjoon, launching straight into his opening line as he rested his elbow on the bar counter, right next to the man.

The man turned his head slowly. His eyes were round, clear, and gazed at Namjoon with an innocent blink. Namjoon was even more certain. Definitely an omega. Who else would have a gaze as innocent and sweet as this if not an omega?

“Oh… really?” the man’s voice was low yet soft, with a slight hoarseness that only made Namjoon more excited. “I’m just waiting for my drink.”

“Your drink’s a bit too sweet for such a late night,” Namjoon chuckled softly, waving to the barman and ordering another glass. “Something a little warmer would be better to keep you company. Namjoon, by the way. Kim Namjoon.”
The man accepted Namjoon’s outstretched hand.

Namjoon’s thumb deliberately brushed against the pulse at the man’s wrist—a classic alpha trick to gauge a pheromone reaction. “Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook.”
Jungkook’s hand felt warm and soft; there was no resistance whatsoever. Namjoon’s smile widened. His dimples blossomed fully.

“So, Jungkook-ssi… on your own? An omega as sweet as you isn’t usually allowed out without a bodyguard,” Namjoon teased. He began to release his pheromones in subtle bursts. Namjoon’s pheromones smelled like green tea leaves damp with morning dew. Not overpowering, but fresh enough to make those around him feel at ease.

Jungkook looked down at his wrist, which Namjoon was still holding, then looked up at Namjoon’s face with a strange gleam in his eyes. His lips curved into a faint, incredibly sweet smile. “No one’s keeping me company. Besides, not many people usually dare to come near me.”

Namjoon chuckled softly, waving his hand dismissively. “That’s because the alphas out there are too rough. They think omegas can only be subdued with pheromone threats. Old-fashioned. For me, an omega needs to be pampered, understood…” Namjoon deliberately leaned in, bringing his face closer until they were only a dozen centimetres apart. “…and protected.”

Jungkook tilted his head slightly. “You want to protect me?”

“Why not?” Namjoon raised one eyebrow, flashing his most charismatic smile. “I might look laid-back, but when it comes to protecting what’s mine, I can fight too. You don’t need to be afraid of those dominant alphas out there who love to show off their aura. As long as I’m here, you’re safe.”

In his heart, Namjoon cheered. Hook, line and sinker. He truly felt like the greatest man in the room. Jungkook’s smile felt like a giant green light telling him to keep going.

Namjoon grew bolder. He dared to slip his fingers onto Jungkook’s shoulder, stroking the thick sweater fabric with a caressing motion that was clearly intended to assert dominance. Namjoon released a little more of his green tea pheromones—channeling all his recessive strength to appear formidable.

“You smell amazing, Jungkook-ssi. Cinnamon,” Namjoon whispered right next to Jungkook’s ear.

“It goes perfectly with the scent of my green tea. How about we move to a quieter spot? I can show you just how well an alpha treats you.”

Jungkook didn’t flinch. He didn’t step back, didn’t brush Namjoon’s hand away, and didn’t blush with shyness like most omegas would.

Instead, Jungkook slowly set his cocktail glass down on the table. The soft clink as the glass touched the thick wood sounded strangely distinct amidst the club’s din.

“Green tea, then?” Jungkook murmured softly. His sweet smile didn’t fade, but the corners of his round eyes suddenly hardened. “It has a soothing aroma. But… it’s a bit too weak.”

Namjoon blinked, furrowing his brow slightly. “Huh?”

Before Namjoon had a chance to process those words, the atmosphere around them suddenly changed drastically. So drastically that the air in Namjoon’s lungs seemed to evaporate in a matter of seconds.

The scent of cinnamon, which had been sweet and gentle, suddenly turned acrid. In the blink of an eye, it gave way to the intense aroma of aged cedarwood, expensive tobacco smoke, and the incredibly heavy scent of wet earth after a storm.

These were not the pheromones of an aroused omega. These were the pheromones of a dominant, brimming with absolute menace.

The pheromones radiated from Jungkook’s body like an invisible tsunami.

“Ugh—” Namjoon let out a stifled groan. His chest was suddenly struck by an immense pressure. His knees trembled violently as a reflex, forcing his body to double over. The whisky glass in his hand would have slipped from his grasp had he not quickly set it down with fingers that had suddenly lost all strength.

The nerves throughout Namjoon’s body—his most primal, recessive alpha instincts—screamed hysterically: DANGER. RUN. THIS IS THE APEX PREDATOR.

But Namjoon couldn’t move. Let alone take a step; even breathing felt like inhaling poisonous air that burned his throat. Cold sweat trickled rapidly down his temples and the nape of his neck.

Jungkook swivelled fully round in his swivel chair. His movements were relaxed and elegant, yet imbued with such intense dominance that several other alphas within a five-metre radius reflexively turned their heads, looking bewildered as to why there was suddenly such an overwhelming pheromone.

Jungkook reached out his hand. The supple fingers that had seemed so gentle moments before now gripped Namjoon’s jaw with a steel-like grip, forcing Namjoon—who had been slumped limply against the table—to look up, gazing directly into his eyes.

Jungkook’s round eyes, which had previously been clear, had now shifted to a shimmering goldenigma streaked with red amidst the darkness of the bar. Those were not the eyes of an omega. Not even the eyes of a dominant alpha.

An enigma.

A rare species at the top of the food chain. The highest caste capable of bending fate, a figure who could not only subdue an alpha, but transform an alpha into their complete possession.

“What did you just say, Namjoon-ssi?” whispered Jungkook. His voice was no longer soft. It was deep, heavy, echoing directly inside Namjoon’s head, shaking every inch of him.

Namjoon’s eyes widened. His throat tightened. An Enigma? How could there be an Enigma here?! And why was he wearing fake cinnamon pheromones?!

Jungkook leaned in even closer. His warm breath, scented with cedarwood and smoke, pierced Namjoon’s sense of smell, making Namjoon’s head spin and his eyes water from the overwhelming pressure of the pheromones. Jungkook’s other hand slid down to Namjoon’s waist, pulling the recessive alpha—who had already lost control—even closer to his body.

The grip on Namjoon’s waist was so possessive, locking his movements so he couldn’t step back even a single centimetre.

“Are you trying to protect me from other alphas?” Jungkook chuckled softly. The sound of his chuckle sounded incredibly dangerous, making the hairs on the back of Namjoon’s neck stand on end. “Do you want to take me somewhere secluded and show me how to treat an omega?”

Namjoon swallowed hard. The dimple of his confidence had vanished, replaced by an expression of shock and total resignation. His green tea pheromones had vanished without a trace, completely overwhelmed by Jungkook’s dominant aura.

Jungkook brought his lips close to Namjoon’s flushed ear, whispering a sentence that made every joint in Namjoon’s body go completely limp:

“Still want to keep teasing me, Alpha?”

"No, sorry... I-I was just joking..."
Namjoon let out an awkward laugh that sounded pitiful even to his own ears. His parched throat turned his laughter into a faint, heart-wrenching rasp. Namjoon’s fingers gripped Jungkook’s wrist, which was still clenched around his jaw, intending to gently pry it away, but the grip was like an iron shackle. It didn’t budge at all.

“Joking?” Jungkook repeated the word in a low tone heavy with irony. His thumb traced Namjoon’s jawline, pressing lightly against the recessed cheekbone of the alpha until Namjoon winced slightly.

“But just now you looked so certain, Kim Namjoon. Your voice was firm, your eyes locked onto mine, and you’d just offered such a sweet ‘protection’.”

“That… was a misunderstanding,” Namjoon swallowed with difficulty. Cold sweat trickled down from his temples, dripping across his now exposed neck. The suffocating sensation of Enigma’s aura, just a breath away, was utterly shattering his alpha instincts. “I… I thought you were an omega. Your clothes, your scent…”

“My scent?” Jungkook tilted his head, the corners of his lips curving into a lopsided smile that was both strikingly handsome and terrifying. He deliberately exhaled a faint wisp of cedarwood pheromones and thick tobacco smoke, giving Namjoon just enough of a gap to gasp for air.

Namjoon coughed softly, inhaling oxygen as though he’d just nearly drowned at the bottom of the ocean. His lungs raced, his chest heaving under the intimidating gaze of the man before him.

“I’m just using a cinnamon-scented fabric freshener, Namjoon-ssi,” whispered Jungkook, chuckling softly at how easily the man in front of him had been fooled. “Funny, isn’t it? Just because of the smell of cake, you immediately assumed I was some weakling in need of rescuing?”

Embarrassment.

An overwhelming sense of embarrassment set Namjoon’s face ablaze until it turned crimson. As a recessive alpha, he was often looked down upon by dominant alphas, but being cornered like this by an Enigma—a mythical species whose existence was scarcely even recorded in textbooks—truly shattered his self-esteem beyond recognition. His usually sharp mind, brimming with tactics and sweet talk, suddenly went completely blank.

“Sorry…” Namjoon muttered at last, staring straight at Jungkook’s jumper because he couldn’t bear to look into those hypnotic golden eyes for any longer.

“I was wrong. Please… let me go. I want to leave.” Namjoon tried to pull away, intending to turn and disappear into the bustling crowd of the nightclub. However, instead of letting go, Jungkook’s grip on Namjoon’s waist tightened even further. Jungkook pulled Namjoon’s body closer until their stomachs were pressed tightly together.

“Leave?” Jungkook laughed softly against Namjoon’s neck, his warm breath sweeping over the sensitive skin near Namjoon’s pulse. Namjoon’s hair stood on end instantly. “You were the one who came over yourself, striding in with such confidence, touching my shoulder, and spreading your subtle green tea pheromones all over me. Now that you’ve realised I’m not such an easy ‘prey’… you’re just going to run off like that?”

“So what do you want?!” Namjoon finally snapped, his emotions a jumble of panic, fear, and the last remnants of his alpha pride trying to rebel. “I’ve already apologised! I didn’t know you were an Enigma! If I’d known, I’d never have gone near you in the first place!”

Jungkook’s eyes flashed at the words ‘would never have gone near you’. His grip on Namjoon’s waist tightened until Namjoon held his breath.

“It’s your own fault,” Jungkook muttered, his voice softening but sounding far more dangerous. “You showed off too much in front of the wrong person. And whether you realise it or not… that scent of wet green tea of yours is quite alluring, recessive.”

Namjoon froze. Alluring? What did he mean by alluring?

Before Namjoon had a chance to process the sentence, Jungkook suddenly lifted Namjoon off the bar stool. His movement was so swift and powerful, as if Namjoon’s weight—standing at nearly one hundred and eighty centimetres tall—meant absolutely nothing.

Namjoon, panicking instinctively, grabbed Jungkook’s shoulders to stop himself from falling.

“Hey! Let go! Where are you taking me?!” Namjoon shouted in a strained voice, glancing around anxiously.

Strangely, not a single person in the club had any intention of helping. Several dominant alphas around them even deliberately looked away and moved further away, sensing the aura of danger radiating from Jungkook’s body. No one dared to cross Enigma whilst he was staking his claim.

“To a quieter place,” Jungkook replied, echoing Namjoon’s words from a few minutes earlier. The whisper brushed against Namjoon’s earlobe. “Weren’t you the one who said you wanted to move to a quiet place? I’m just fulfilling your request.”

Jungkook dragged Namjoon towards the exclusive VIP corridor behind a thick, gold-ornamented door. Every time Namjoon tried to jerk away or resist with his feet, Jungkook’s cedarwood pheromones would sting his sense of smell once more, causing Namjoon’s knees to suddenly go weak and lose their footing.

That terrifying sensation caused Namjoon’s body to biologically respond to Jungkook’s dominance—something an alpha had never experienced before.

The VIP corridor door slammed shut with a heavy thud, cutting through the noise of jazz music and the clinking of glasses outside. The atmosphere suddenly fell silent, leaving only the sound of Namjoon’s heart pounding wildly, like the tremors of an earthquake.

Jungkook gently pushed Namjoon until the recessive alpha’s back pressed against the cold corridor wall. Jungkook pinned Namjoon in place by resting both hands on either side of his head, completely enclosing his large frame within his sphere of influence.

“Jungkook-ssi… please, this isn’t funny,” Namjoon squeaked. He looked up, gazing at Jungkook, who was now chuckling softly, revelling in the desperation in Namjoon’s eyes.

“Who said I was joking, Namjoon-ssi?” Jungkook leaned in, sniffing gently at the nape of Namjoon’s neck, right at the pheromone gland.

Namjoon got a massive shiver down his spine. His hands pressed against Jungkook’s chest, trying to push him away, but the hard muscles beneath that cream-coloured jumper didn’t budge an inch. The scent of cedarwood now completely enveloped Namjoon, seeping into his clothes, infiltrating his sense of smell until his head felt dizzy and warm.

“This scent of green tea…” Jungkook whispered, his lips pressed lightly against the skin of Namjoon’s neck, sending a strange electric shock that made Namjoon sigh softly without realising it. “…would smell so much better if mixed with my own cedarwood scent. What do you think, Alpha?”

Namjoon’s eyes widened as he realised the implications of those words. The Enigma not only controlled omegas—they had the ability to subdue alphas, even altering an alpha’s biological structure to render them passive under their control.

“No…” Namjoon shook his head slowly, his breath coming in gasps under Jungkook’s piercing gaze. “We can’t…”

Jungkook smiled sweetly—the innocent smile that had momentarily fooled Namjoon, but now looked like the smile of a predator who had just cornered its prey in a room.

“It’s too late to say ‘no’, Kim Namjoon. You were the one who started it.”

Namjoon’s back, pressed tightly against the corridor wall, felt increasingly cold, in stark contrast to his body temperature, which had suddenly flared into a burning heat. The grip of the cedarwood pheromones surrounding him felt like invisible threads binding every joint in his body.

Every time Namjoon tried to draw a breath, that intense scent filled his lungs, leaving him with a dizzying sensation that was both intoxicating and paralysing.
Jungkook was still there, closing the distance until his warm breath brushed against Namjoon’s jawline. Those golden eyes locked onto Namjoon, showing no mercy.

“J-Jungkook… stop,” Namjoon whispered, abandoning all formality, his voice trembling violently. “You… you can’t do this. I’m an alpha. We’re both—”

“Both what?” Jungkook interrupted softly. A faint smile played on his lips—not a smile of anger, but a glimmer of pure fascination that was, in fact, far more terrifying to Namjoon.

“Both have the instinct to lead? But so far, I haven’t seen any resistance from your feeble little self, Namjoon-ssi.”

Namjoon bit his lower lip tightly. His pride as an alpha felt as though it had been trampled on until it shattered into a thousand pieces.

But his recessive nature would not allow for any compromise; in the presence of Enigma, their biological hierarchy was absolute. Jungkook tilted his head, gazing at Namjoon from a span’s distance with eyes sparkling with curiosity. His thumb lifted, brushing Namjoon’s lower lip—which he’d bitten until it turned pale—forcing him to release his grip.

“To be honest…” Jungkook murmured, his voice suddenly sounding much more relaxed, almost casual, as if they were merely discussing the weather. “…this is a first for me.”

Namjoon blinked slowly, bewildered. “Huh?”

“My biological experience,” Jungkook explained without hesitation, his gaze sweeping over Namjoon’s confused face.

“Up until now, I’ve only been with omegas or the occasional beta. They’re easy to read. Submissive, sweet, surrendering immediately once they catch a whiff of pheromones. A bit boring, to be honest.”

Jungkook lowered his head slightly, inhaling the scent of Namjoon’s neck more deeply until his nose touched the warm skin near the recessive alpha’s pulse. Namjoon reflexively drew a sharp breath, his body freezing instantly.

“But with an alpha? Especially a recessive alpha who was acting all tough earlier, trying to protect me?” Jungkook chuckled softly, the vibration of his chest clearly felt by Namjoon. “I can’t wait to gain some new experience. I’m curious… what it’s like to make an alpha bend the knee beneath me until the scent of this green tea pheromone changes.”

The hairs on the back of Namjoon’s neck stood on end. Mad. The man in front of him was completely mad.

“I’m not a toy for you to gain experience with, Jeon!” Namjoon snapped, mustering what little courage he had left, his hands clutching the cream-coloured sweater fabric on Jungkook’s chest, trying to push him away—though his efforts were in vain. “Let go! Do you think you can just do as you please?!”

“I can,” Jungkook replied briefly and innocently, his sweet smile returning—a smile that now looked utterly manipulative in Namjoon’s eyes. “Because you came here of your own accord, Namjoon-ssi.”

However, instead of immediately continuing his actions in that dimly lit corridor, Jungkook suddenly pulled his body back a little. The intense pheromones that had been pressing down on Namjoon’s chest suddenly eased, leaving a wide gap of air for Namjoon to gasp for oxygen. Namjoon would have slumped to the floor had Jungkook’s hand not swiftly caught his waist.

Jungkook reached into his trouser pocket with one hand, whilst his other hand remained locked around Namjoon’s waist to prevent him from falling. He took out his smartphone, swiping the screen casually with his thumb.

“Besides… I still have some manners,” said Jungkook casually, without taking his eyes off the screen. “The VIP corridor is quiet, but it’s not very comfortable for our first experience. The carpet’s rough, and the air conditioning isn’t cold enough.”

Namjoon’s eyes widened. “What… what the hell are you doing?!”

“Booking a suite on the top floor of this building,” Jungkook replied honestly, without a shred of guilt. “Just a moment, the presidential suite app’s taking a bit to load. Right, confirmed.”

“JEON JUNGKOOK!” Namjoon shouted, his voice choked with emotion, his face flushing crimson with a mix of embarrassment, fury and sheer panic. “Are you mad?! Who on earth would want to go with you to a suite?!”

Jungkook slipped his mobile back into his pocket, then looked at Namjoon with a triumphant smile. “You, of course. Do you even have a choice?”

Before Namjoon could reply or punch the man in the chest, Jungkook suddenly wrapped his arms around Namjoon’s thighs and lifted the recessive alpha’s body completely off the ground—carrying him in a bridal carry as if Namjoon weighed as little as a feather.

“Hey! Put me down! Let go, you bastard!” Namjoon struggled, his legs kicking at the air and his hands pounding at Jungkook’s shoulders.
It was all in vain. To an Enigma, the strength of a recessive alpha like Namjoon was nothing more than a gentle caress.

Jungkook didn’t even break stride. He released a little more of his warm, intense dominant pheromones, completely enveloping Namjoon’s body until Namjoon’s joints suddenly lost all strength again. Namjoon’s blows to his shoulder slumped into nothing more than a feeble grip on Jungkook’s clothes.

“Don’t get too carried away, Namjoon-ssi,” Jungkook whispered softly as they walked towards the private lift leading to the suite. “You’ll run out of energy before we’ve even started. That’d be a shame, wouldn’t it?”

Namjoon rested his forehead against Jungkook’s chest, cursing his own stupidity for having chosen the wrong ‘prey’ tonight. Deep down, he screamed hysterically: God, please… I just wanted to tease a sweet omega, why did I end up being carried by that mad Enigma to the suite?!

The lift doors clinked open, ready to take them up to the top floor.

The lift clinked softly as it reached the top floor. The doors slid open, revealing a thickly carpeted corridor with the warm lighting typical of a five-star hotel.

The atmosphere here was completely isolated from the noise of the club below. It was quiet, cold, and felt incredibly oppressive to Namjoon, who was still in Jungkook’s embrace.

Namjoon shut his eyes tightly. His flushed face was hidden in the crook of Jungkook’s neck, not because he was enjoying this position, but because his embarrassment had reached unbearable levels. A tall, recessive alpha, carried like a bride down the corridor towards the suite—if anyone were to see this, Namjoon swore he’d move to another planet.

“No need to hide like that. There’s no one else here,” Jungkook whispered casually, striding calmly as if the weight of Namjoon in his arms was barely noticeable.

Jungkook held his mobile phone up to the door to access the room he’d booked. A soft click sounded, followed by the thick mahogany door sliding open automatically.

As soon as they stepped inside, the door behind them slammed shut with a heavy thud, completely cutting them off from the outside world. The presidential suite was vast, dominated by elegant shades of cream and grey, with large glass windows offering a view of the city’s glittering nightscape.

But Namjoon had no energy left to admire the luxurious interior.

Jungkook walked towards the king-size bed in the centre of the room, then gently lowered Namjoon onto the soft mattress.

The moment his body touched the soft sheets, Namjoon’s survival instincts kicked in. He quickly shifted his body backwards, planning to slide to the other side of the bed to escape. But his movements were no match for Jungkook’s reach. The man known as Enigma crawled up onto the mattress, grabbed both of Namjoon’s ankles and pulled him back to the centre of the bed in one easy tug.

“Where else are you going, Kim Namjoon?” asked Jungkook with an amused tone, positioning himself to pin Namjoon down from above.

"No... Jungkook, listen to me first," Namjoon’s voice choked. He was breathing heavily, his chest heaving as he realised Jungkook’s face was only a few centimetres above his own. "This... this has gone too far. You can’t force an alpha—"

“I’m not forcing you,” Jungkook interrupted softly. He rested one elbow beside Namjoon’s head, whilst his other hand reached up to smooth back the strands of Namjoon’s hair that were falling across his forehead.

The touch of his fingers felt warm, almost protective, yet the pheromones emanating from his body signalled absolute dominance. “I’m just holding you to your promise. Earlier, you were the one who offered me ‘protection’ and promised to show me how to treat me properly. I’m just claiming what’s rightfully mine.”

“But I got the wrong idea! I thought you were an omega!” Namjoon exclaimed in frustration. His dimples had completely vanished, replaced by deep furrows on his brow. “If I’d known you were an Enigma, I’d never have spoken to you!”

“That’s precisely what makes it interesting,” Jungkook smiled broadly, flashing sweet buck teeth that stood in stark contrast to his intimidating aura. “If you’d known I was an Enigma, you’d have run away like all the other cowardly alphas. But you… you actually came over with a confident smile, spreading the soothing scent of wet green tea, and called me sweet.”

Jungkook lowered his head slightly, pressing his nose against Namjoon’s neckline, taking a deep breath of the distinctive scent now mingled with Namjoon’s cold sweat.

“This scent of green tea…” Jungkook whispered right by Namjoon’s pheromone gland. “…it’s addictive. It feels so different from the usual omega scent—which is usually so sweet and overpowering it makes my head spin. Your scent… it’s fresh, calm, yet submissive beneath me.”

Namjoon’s body broke out in goosebumps. The sensation of Jungkook’s warm breath piercing the skin of his neck sent strange waves through his nerves. His alpha instincts kept screaming for him to break free, to strike out, or at least to push this man off him. Yet, as the rich scent of cedarwood and expensive tobacco emanating from Jungkook grew stronger, Namjoon’s biological defences crumbled completely. His knees went weak; his fingers, which had been clenched around Jungkook’s shoulders, lost their strength, turning instead into resigned strokes across the cream-coloured sweater.

“Engh…” A faint moan escaped Namjoon’s lips, uncontrollably, as Jungkook’s lips touched the skin of his neck, bestowing small, scorching kisses.

Namjoon’s face flushed crimson. He cursed his own body’s reaction. How could an alpha moan just from a light kiss on the neck? This was madness.

The biological influence of an Enigma was truly beyond reason.

Jungkook looked up, gazing into Namjoon’s eyes, which were now drooping and watery due to the pressure of his pheromones. A wild satisfaction flashed in Jungkook’s golden irises as he saw how quickly this recessive alpha was succumbing to his control.

“See?” whispered Jungkook in a low voice that sent shivers down Namjoon’s spine.

“Your body isn’t even resisting, Namjoon. That recessive trait of yours… is actually just waiting for an Enigma strong enough to make you submit completely.”

“No…” Namjoon shook his head slowly, though his voice already sounded faint and helpless. “It’s not… it’s not like that…”

“Then why don’t you push me away?” teased Jungkook. He deliberately reduced his dominant pheromones slightly, making the thick, warm air around them feel lighter.

Namjoon tried to raise his hand to push Jungkook’s chest away, but his hand trembled and fell limply by his head. His gaze, usually sharp and calculating, now looked incredibly vulnerable.

Jungkook lowered his head, intertwining his fingers with Namjoon’s, which lay idle on the bed, clasping them tightly. He brought his face closer until their lips were almost touching.

“The night is still young, Kim Namjoon,” Jungkook whispered emphatically. “I want to savour every second of my first experience with an alpha. And you… I won’t let you go until the scent of this green tea is completely overshadowed by my own cedarwood scent.”

Before Namjoon could protest again, Jungkook closed the remaining distance between them, silencing the recessive alpha’s lips in a deep kiss that demanded absolute dominance.
