Summary
With Ho Yuwon gone and Cheong Dalle in hiding, Daydream was just about ready to promote the most competent person they could find to keep HQ running. So imagine their surprise when they found a legendary rookie slaving away in one of their branch offices. They promoted him right away and dragged him (willingly) to Seoul.
Fast forward to six months later, and it was no secret that Director Kim managed most of the Darkness-related departments in the main office. He was a little overworked, but that was okay. Kim Soleum had a goal and he needed the resources Daydream was giving him to accomplish it. He absolutely couldn’t leave until then. I repeat: he did NOT need to be rescued.
It still won’t stop a certain agent from trying.
