Summary
When everyone is super, no one is.
Superheroes are extinct. Fortunately, so are supervillains. In the years since they died out, no new titans of power have revealed themselves. The average person might have a power, but they no longer qualify as super.
With no students, and no Heroes to defend it, the city built among the clouds to train new Heroes has been taken over by the megacorps founded by the supervillains that opposed the heroes. Their private armies of cyborgs and robots keep what order they find profitable on the streets, and the slums from spilling out into the rest of the flying city. For the poor, the best they can expect is the escape of virtual worlds by neural implant.
Tom August has made a career of going unseen in this world, smuggling whatever his corporate and criminal masters are willing to pay him to move. He's considered a cog in the machine, and he prefers it that way. If only he didn't have a house call from the most wanted criminal in the entire city, and the closest thing to a superhero known to the world.
A blend of superhero comic style world building and cyberpunk dystopia. With a side of harem for spice.
