A few weeks had passed by into months and then years, Charlie spring had not been active on social media for two years. Rumors had begun to spread that his ex-boyfriend Ben Hope had cheated on him and ruined his self confidence incredibly, someone had overheard them in a heated argument and they recalled that Ben had said “Nobody’s going to love you charlie i mean look at you.” That comment had spread like a wildfire. Ben's comment sections were filled with hate and harassment, Ben’s team never did anything about the recent rumors that were going around. Since the night of the argument nobody had seen Ben for months. They assumed he had run off somewhere due to the factor of his poor behaviour and language used against the singer.
Charlie had only been spotted hanging around New York a couple of times he had been alone most of the time however, January 2025 Charlie spring had been captured acting rather couply with England's Rugby Captain, Nick Nelson. Nick was openly Bisexual so this wasn't a surprise to his fanbase however Charlie had once stated in an interview he doesn’t get the hype around ‘sporty men’. This had instantly sparked the internet's passive aggressive judgement towards their relationship, some tweets even reading “Why is Nicholas dating that twink of a man. It's all clearly PR.”
Charlie hadn't released music since the two singles in 2023 before he went on a hiatus for 2 and a half years. Within those two years Charlie had gained his confidence back along with his sassiness. He hadn't really been active on his main socials but he had a secret twitter account he would use sometimes, other then that he would only post for his fans rarely within his break. Reporters would say he seemed to feel like himself again and had seemed to be in a better spirit than his last time being heavily in the public eye.
Both fanbases had begun to notice the changes between the two ever since they had been photographed together, some saying Nick had a glowing aura around him ever since the two males had formed a connection to one another, Charlie had been working on his first ever studio album within his hiatus, he needed time to find himself and get over the longing heartbreak, he was seen leaving the studio in late 2025 which sent his fanbase tweeting about his long awaited comeback however he had began to have doubts about the fact his fans might now want to listen to music that was based on love, heartbreak and sex. He had never written an album. Sure he had written some poetry before or he had EPs but not once has he ever written a full album. The media had proved him wrong as the #CS1 was trending within the first hour of him being spotted near his studio in London.
Months had flown by and Nick and Charlie had been seen by the public many times, even stopping to take pictures with fans for the first time in years, Fans had described the two as being soulmates, almost as if their souls had been intertwined into one.
“I don’t think I can do this,” Charlie said, drifting his hands through his dark curls, as he sat down in the chair in his studio. “i dont like it, it's too cringy. Nobody wants this.” he looks at his producer, Sahar, drained with any bit of life that may have remained.
“Charlie, it’s not cringe you’re being your unapologetic self within these tracks, but if you really don't like them let's work through it because nobody will listen to the music you dont like but i think this song in particular your fans will enjoy thoroughly.”
Charlie's eyes finding themself looking into the mirror ahead of him, for once he didn’t see a fraud he saw a man who’s healed, a man who is ready to give the world his story subtly.
“It’s just one song Charlie," Sahar insisted, glancing over to him, “I'm going to be honest with you, I have never seen you look so happy while singing a song ever and I've worked with you for a while. Your eyes had a spark within them, it looked like you were envisioning the muse behind this song, but if you don’t like it we can scrap it.”

it’s been a while hasn’t it? I've learned a lot, forgiveness, how to be in love without feeling like you must earn someone's love, betrayal , feeling out of place wherever you go, how to forgive someone who hurt you with intent, feeling like whatever you do won’t ever be enough.
Being an ‘internet’ sensation means you deal with a lot of harassment, unneeded hatred and people passing judgement towards you. I disappeared for a while. I had lost myself while being in love with a man who couldn’t love me the same. I was unsure if I was ever going to come back because I needed to be sure I still love this, spoiler alert I have missed you guys, I hope when you listen to this album you feel seen, noticed and most of all understood. I hope this album gives you a glimpse into what being in love should feel like and how you can be loved no matter who’s damaged you in the past.
