Chapter Text
The Nifison estate was full of people. Today was a very important and special day: the sixth birthday of their one and only daughter.
Clovia was born into a noble family and lived a life of wealth. As the sole heiress, she had everything she could ever want.
She had everything—jewels, gowns, golden spoons... but not a single friend.
She wasn't allowed to mingle freely with others. She was expected to remain noble, untouchable, holy.
But the kids assigned to her didn't get along with her.
She had learned etiquette from an early age. Every time a guest came, she had to kneel, offer her hand, and then cleanse her fingers with alcohol.
She didn't enjoy having older gentlemen kiss her hand, but as a lady, she had to follow protocol. A proper smile. Elegant posture. Perfect manners. Always.
She sat alone at the long table, watching her parents speak with their guests. She blinked.
Then, she took a bite of the cake.
