Many pirate and navy crews preferred having only alphas. As alphas were generally bigger, stronger and faster than there omega counterparts. However some crews would have a single omega to balance it out. But not the Heart, the Kid pirates or the Straw Hat pirates. There crews were all different. Law was the only alpha on his crew, The Kid Pirates were rumored to be an all alpha crew with a single alpha, while the Straw Hats were said to have a balance between alphas and omegas.
Luna let out a sigh, as she sipped her overly sweet coffee. She had been waiting over an hour for Law to show up. As sadly the Heart Pirates had to stop at this island, an island affiliated with the world government. Two days prior they had been attacked by a navy ship. Unfortunately for the marines the Heart pirates not only defeated them but stole every piece of gold and all the Berries they were carrying.
Finding an island to safely exchange the gold for Berries had taken two days till they found this place. Law had split up the remaining and the berries they stole between everyone on board, and had taken Shachi and Penguin to exchange the gold for more Berries. Law told everyone to enjoy themselves but to stay out of trouble. Marines were patrolling the island. Money in hand they were off. Luna has tactfully stolen one of Law shirts to wear around the island.
She walked around twenty minutes till she found a cafe. It was right next to the main road, a perfect spot for people watching. She ordered herself a cup of overly sweet coffee, a light snack and grabbed a book. The waitress recommended it and if she wanted to buy it, the book store was across from the cafe. An hour later and no Law. She let out a sigh as she nursed her drink.
Luna ideally wondered if she came from an island like this. Sadly she didn't have any memories from before Law and Bepo rescued her. According to the pair, they found her washed up on the beach, bleeding from a very nasty head wound. A few days later, she woke with no memories, just her name.
Originally Luna stayed with Law and his friends out of obligation. She helped where she could with Wolf, assisted in odd jobs with the boys. Wolf quickly discovered that she was good with firearms. It took time, and a lot of training for her to get to the level she was at. Thanks in part to Wolf she learned about observation haki as well. It was mostly bare bones and basic explanation and teachings but she got the hang of it.
And yet somewhere along the way, Law and Luna fell in love. Neither were sure how it happened, but both agreed it felt right. Apparently Wolf and Shachi lost a remarkable amount of Berries to Penguin and Bepo.
“Well, well, what do we have here?” A voice asks. Luna let out a hum as she raised an eyebrow. A pair of what she assumed to be local alphas approached her.
“Looks like a lonely omega. What are you doing sweetheart?” One of the alpha asks. His breath smelled awful. A mix of alcohol and cigarette smoke.
“I'm waiting for my boyfriend.” She tells them. Her cup was set back down, as she reached for the book.
One of the men grabbed the book before she could. “How awful. He shouldn't let a pretty thing like you be alone. Why don't we keep you company?”
“No.” Luna bluntly tells them. “I would like my book back.”
“Sure for a kiss.” The second alpha tells her. “We won't tell your boyfriend.”
“No, thank you. May I please have the book back.” She requests. She didn't want to start trouble.
The men both let out fake hums of thought. “No, kiss, no book sweetheart.” The men laugh.
Luna scowled as she stood to take her book back. The alpha holding the book grinned. She reached, he took a step back. The man made a kissing face, as he kept the book above his head.
“You heard my friend if you want this back. You're going to have to give me a kiss.”
Luna glared at the men, she grabbed and tossed the leftover coffee in the man's face. He let out yell as she grabbed the book, but before kicking in the groin.
“You little omega bitch!” The second alpha yells. He threw a punch at her head, she ducked and hit him with the book. The man stumbled, but didn't fall as he got ready to punch her again. Luna ducked again as she punched him hard. They both heard a break as blood gushed out of his nose. Luna smirked.
“You no good little bitch!” The second man yells as he lands a punch to her face. She stumbled backwards, and into the table. The man lunges for Luna who quickly side stepped, the man hit the table hard as Luna brought the book down hard onto his head. He went down hard onto the ground.
“Asshole.” She mutters with a huff. The waitress was standing in the doorway, she looked happy and worried. Luna pulled money for her coffee and snack along with a nice tip. She sat the book back down, as left for the book store.
She was skimming through books looking for the same book. She let out a snort as saw the book was just out of reach. An arm wrapped her waist, as she pulled against someone's chest. She went stiff and then relaxed. The strong scent of bourbon and pecans.
“Need a hand?” Law asks with a slightly teasing smile.
“You're late.” She tells him with a sigh. “But, yes I can't teach the dark blue book.”
“It took longer at the exchange office than I anticipated. Here you go.”
“Thank you. Well at least it's done and we can leave.” She tells him, hugging the book close. “Do you mind grabbing the other two books?”
“In a hurry already? I thought we could have some fun.” He says handing her the books.
“Ran into some trouble with a pair of locals.”
“Luna?”
“Nothing I couldn't handle. They were just being assholes.” She mutters with a sigh, as she looks out the window. Law followed her line of sight and saw them. A pair of alphas, one had coffee dripping down his face, as his friend had a bloody and broken nose. The pair were being yelled at by an older woman wearing an apron. Behind her a waitress giggled, while one laughed.
“You're doing?” He asks with a knowing smirk.
“They wouldn't take no for an answer.” She tells as she pulls out a blueberry swirl lollipop out of her pocket.
“Good job.”
“I aim to please.” She tells him with a soft laugh. Law smiled as pressed a quick kiss to her lips.
