We Can’t Work This Out

Work Text:

H: “Kintoru.”

Kintoru angrily stormed into the open field, standing just before the river she needed to cross to get to Hiachi.

K: “You.”

H: “You know why I called you here, my heart. I’m sick of your bullshit. Cheating… really?”

K: “I dunno, thought it was kinda funny when I did it. Banged your mom, haha. Y'know them jokes… I don’t exactly consider it to be ch-“

H: “CHEATING! You Сука*, it’s cheating.”

Kintoru stared into Hiachi’s eyes for a long while, at a complete loss for words. She didn’t know whether to try and save this or to downplay everything and act careless. She loved Hiachi, she thought she did. But she wasn’t certain.

H: “I don’t understand what you get out of doing this stuff, Kintoru. You’ve already done enough to piss me off. I mean for fucks sake, we’re married! Why can't I just have you to myself..?”

Hiachi is tearing up by this point, drawing her weapon.

K: “Oh, it’s going like that now? Hia, Don’t do this. You know I won’t feel… that bad if I have to put you down.”

H: “Wish I never stepped into that goddamn guild.

Before Kintoru could register the insult thrown at her, Hiachi came straight at her wife. The front end of her dual-edged scythe was driven directly into Kintoru’s torso, causing her to roar in pain. Hiachi was aggressively kicked away and slammed to the ground from the force. Kintoru outstretched her wings and blasted into the air, something telling her she really shouldn’t fight Hiachi. She ripped the weapon out and got right to patching herself up, checking the damage on her facial screens.

H: “ВЕРНИ СВОЮ ПАНКОВУЮ ЗАДНИЦУ СЮДА ПРЯМО СЕЙЧАС.” (BRING YOUR PUNK ASS BACK HERE RIGHT NOW.)

K: “Oh, bollocks.”

Hiachi let out an ungodly screech and called forth the Void, using it to teleport straight onto Kintoru’s back. Hiachi ripped off Kinny’s wings in an instant, both of them tumbling straight down into the dirt. To dampen the fall, both of them kicked off of each other and took up their Kaiju forms. Both of them were thrown backwards but suffered minimal damage from the fall due to the size change. They were both massive, attracting the attention of many nearby gods and Guild members. A loud thud shook the Earth and sent dust everywhere as two much angrier, slightly beastly versions of Hiachi and Kintoru rose from the dirt crater their impacts created. Snarling, the now-enraged Hiachi started barreling towards Kintoru on all fours. She unhooked her jaw and prepared to tear Kintoru in half.

K, Holding Hiachi back by the horns: “Shit, I know what I did was wrong, I think I get it now! I shouldn’t’ve made a joke about it, darling! Please, I hate to see you like this!”

Hiachi let loose a very irritated roar and tore herself free from Kintoru, her four beastly eyes looking Kinny up and down. Hiachi seemed to be carefully calculating her next move as she paced back and forth.

H: “You… you don’t understand. Why is it so difficult for you to understand me..? That was all I ever wanted. I let you treat me like shit because I figured it’d be worth it in the end. I settled for the bare minimum because I had nothing else. Not even a loving mother to run to. I don’t care how sorry you are, Kintoru. You know what you did. You showed no remorse. I had to get to this point for you to listen to me, and even still I remain unheard. I’m going to send you to the deepest layer of Hell you belong in. And I pray Jacinda shows you no mercy.”

K: “Hiachi…”

H: “No. No more of this.”

Kintoru, stunned, stared at Hiachi as she digested the soul-crushing realization that reconciliation was no longer possible. She went too far this time, and she would probably die for it. But pride…. pride and ego wouldn’t let Kintoru die today. As Hiachi reached for Kintoru’s face to dig her claws into, Kintoru parried and slammed her down with the pommel of her shortsword. They went back and forth with each other, Hiachi just regenerating endlessly. Kintoru picked up on this and slowly worked on creating a short distance. Once Hiachi staggered, Kintoru rushed forward, sending Hiachi shock-waving into a mountain. No longer did Kintoru wish to waste her words on her wife. She punched Hiachi as hard as she could in the head, and it sent cracks splintering up Hia’s face. The Zovoidian thrashed around aggressively, trying to avoid a second hit as she whined in pain. Kintoru wasted no time going back in with another solid punch to the other side of Hiachi’s face. And then again. And again. Again. The violent cracking sounds pierced the air as Hiachi was fighting for consciousness. Yaezo, god of monsters, watched intently.

K: “Give up. Say the word and I’ll stop.”

Hiachi’s lower jaw was shattered. She could make no sound, only slightly shake her head as a weak, low growl snuck out of her throat. In response, Kintoru gripped Hiachi’s head and pressed her thumb in so hard that Hiachi’s head shattered. She died instantly and her body fell limply to the dirt.
