Ilya Rozanov never bothered correcting people, but it wasn’t his job to fit their expectations either.
He wasn’t hiding it, it just wasn’t important, and he wasn’t the type to show off (oh, Shane would laugh at that, but for this specific aspect it was true).It just never came up. Until it did.

Hello, Twitter, it’s David Hollander. I am upset by the number of comments claiming my son Ilya bought his dissertation because he is “a dumb hockey player” who can barely read.
First, both of my sons are extremely smart and extremely good at hockey. The best, actually, so suck it. (Yes, Dad made me keep that part.)
Second, I made a list of all the authors and titles my son Ilya casually dropped in conversation the last time we visited, so maybe some of you could educate yourselves. (I’m personally still working my way through the list, and it’s actually very interesting to talk to him about these books.)
