She watches Joe touch Shane’s arm, and Shane pausing, leaning in as Joe explains something he’s doing with his skate, pointing down at his foot and using Shane for balance as he demonstrates. Does Joe have a crush on her son? Her proud mother’s heart says How could he not? Her sweet, handsome boy. She hopes Shane would be polite about it.
Then Joe lets go of Shane’s arm and skates off, and Shane just stands there watching him for a few moments. Her heart does an odd jump. What if Shane liked him back?
Then Shane is off again, eyes back on the ice, back on his edgework. Yuna shakes her head. Shane likes skating, preferably hockey. If hockey were a person, Shane would definitely have a crush on it, but otherwise - he told her last year, when he was in a very serious planning phase, that he planned to win the Stanley Cup seven times and then get married and have three kids, and his wife would also have to like hockey a lot so they could take their kids to hockey practice together.
