Tangible Efforts. Honest Unravelling. Gradual Rebuilding. Healthy Polyamory. Happy Ending.
Multiple Doms/A Single Sub. Brat Tamers/Brat. Consent and Honoured Safewords.📝 Reader’s Notes:
The inclusion and collective acknowledgement of safe words really made the fic for me. The author's thorough understanding of bdsm dynamics was apparent in their vivid portrayal of the safety, trust, and vulnerability required for a secure dom(me)/sub dynamic. Consent and care being paramount positively contributes to shared scenes, affording all members the opportunity to challenge their own limitations—sometimes in the most brutally erotic ways—without compromising collective safety. The last three chapters were particularly difficult to read but in the best way possible. They made me think of the song '...THUS IS WHY (I DON'T SPRING 4 LOVE)' by Saya Gray, most specifically when the artists asks "Indigo, where were you when I needed you most?" These chapters speak not only to the unravelling but, perhaps more importantly, to the gradual rebuilding. To the community you build and the ones who choose to stay. To the folks who are present when you find yourself entirely undone and, for whatever reason, incapable of caring for yourself alone. I firmly believe those are your—or I suppose in this case 'my'—forever people. I loved reading Koo finally allowing himself to exist outside of stiffling expectations (both externally and self imposed). I love that he found people capable of and willing to be vulnerable and tender. I love that the other six recognized what wasn't working and adjusted accordingly, consistently prioritizing Koo's safety. Above all though, I really really loved that they didn't give up on each other or on themselves, and that they did so without harming others or disregarding each other's wellbeing. Phenomenally written.
💬 Quotes & Wording I Particularly Enjoyed:
"Six rich assholes who have to buy a sub because they can’t handle each other. Cute.”
"Ground rules. You’re here because we paid a lot of money for a Level 10. That means you push. We push back harder. Safe word is still in play—red for stop, yellow for slow. But once you say it, the deal changes. Understood?"
“Sweet dreams, Daddies. Try not to jerk each other off thinking about me too hard.”
"“We’re the lucky ones,” Seokjin said quietly. “We almost lost you. Now we get to wake up every day knowing you chose to stay with us. That’s the best gift we could ever ask for."
📚 A Little Note for the Author:
Thank you.
