Chapter One: Meeting And Flirting With The New Raven
Arriving at Raven's house with Olivia and Alex two hours late from their arrival, Amanda takes her son Kenneth out of the car. Sitting on the railing of Raven's porch, Amanda finds herself getting paid a visit by both Olivia and Kirby. After spotting an unfamiliar face texting on her phone, Amanda finds herself doing something she never thought she would do again. Watching as Amanda ran away from her in embarrassment, Raven suddenly looked toward Sidney and the others.
I still haven't watched the second season of Twisted Metal (I don't have Peacock), so please be gentle with me. This is taken from my Kirby and Sidney one-shot. And like always, all my first story chapters suck, but I try to make them look good.
Parking her car beside Olivia's in Raven's driveway, the first thing Amanda McPherson/ Prescott did was slowly get out of the driver's side before she walked over toward her backseat.
Getting out of her own car, wearing a pair of sunglasses, Olivia watched as Amanda gently got a sleeping Kenneth out of the car just as her lovely wife, Alexandra "Alex" James, walked over toward her.
"Do you think she will ever find love again, Babe?" Alex asked.
Slowly removing her sunglasses, Olivia found herself letting out a small, broken-up sigh as she looked toward Alex. "I sure do hope so, Babe. But I think she needs to learn to love again first,"
"That's true, Liv. Alright, we should probably head inside Raven's place before she decides to come out here herself to grab us,"
Olivia nodded.
Walking over toward Amanda's side, Alex happily and gently grabbed her sleeping nephew from the youngest McPherson/ Prescott, while Olivia wrapped an arm around Amanda's shoulder as they all began to walk toward Raven's house.
Opening up the door for both Amanda and Alex, the first thing Olivia saw was Raven McPherson, Maggie McPherson, Sidney, and Kirby sitting in the living room chatting while Nathaniel Reed-Prescott laid on the floor playing with his firetrucks.
"Hey, guys. We're here," Olivia said.
Rushing over toward Alex's side the moment she saw her nephew, Kirby happily grabbed Kenneth from Alex before she walked back over toward the couch just as the six-year-old finally began to wake up.
Amanda chuckled.
"How was the drive here, girls?" Raven asked. Getting up from the couch, Raven walked over toward Amanda's side with a worried look. "You doing okay, Mandy? Trevor should be here soon, as well as everyone else,"
Amanda nodded as she gave Raven a small, warm smile. "I'm okay, Rae. I mean, we do have a son together, so I can't avoid him forever, even if I sometimes wish I could,"
"Alright! But if he starts to bug you, I will send him out without hesitation,"
Amanda nodded.
Pulling Amanda into her arms, Raven placed a kiss on her younger sister's forehead, causing Amanda to slowly close her eyes as a broken sign left her mouth.
"Are you ready to spend the next three weeks here?" Raven asked.
Amanda chuckled. "Sure am, Rae. I do love spending time with my family, but mainly my baby boy. Kenneth is my pride and joy,"
"You're a good mom, Mandy. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise," Raven said. "And if they do try to speak badly about you or your parenting, I hope they know who your sisters are,"
"Trust me, I don't listen to what anyone has to say about me, Rae. I literally fought in the war when I was only fourteen years old, thanks to my damn adoptive parents,"
Raven nodded. Still don't like how they were able to send her there at that age.
Removing herself from Raven's arms, Amanda found herself walking over toward the living room before she slowly laid down on the empty loveseat, causing Raven and the others to share a concerned look.
Hopefully, Amanda will be able to love again becuase she deserves to be happy with someone more than anyone in the commuity.
(Two Hours Later. Outside Raven's house)
Sitting on the porch railing of Raven's house with a bottle of water in her left hand, Amanda took a much-needed drink of her water before she suddenly heard someone walk out of the house.
Walking over toward Amanda's side with Olivia following close behind her, Kirby gave her sister-in-law a warm smile while Olivia leaned against the porch railing.
"Do you wanna go on a walk with Liv and me, Mandy?" Kirby asked. Grabbing Amanda's water from her, Kirby did a quick waterfall before she handed it back to Amanda. "It will help clear your mind, and don't lie to us becuase everyone knows you need it,"
Amanda nodded. "I would love that, actually, girls. We should let Raven and the others know that we're leaving then,"
"They actually already know, Mandy. Well, everyone but Trevor, since he's currently sleeping on the couch with Kenneth, while Nate is watching TV in Raven's bedroom,"
Amanda chuckled.
Watching as Amanda jumped down from the porch railing, Olivia happily linked arms with the youngest McPherson/Prescott sibling, causing Kirby to quickly follow suit.
"Let's head out on our walk, girls. I actually love getting to spend some bonding time with you," Amanda said.
Kirby laughed. "We love spending some bonding time with you as well, Mandy. Man! I love you girls so much, I mean not as much as my son, daugther, and wife,"
"We love you, too, Mirb- I mean Kirby. Ha!"
With that said, Olivia happily began to lead her friends off Raven's porch while Kirby whined at the mention of one of the nicknames she always hated being called when she was younger.
Why must everyone have to pick on her name?
"Do you plan on dating again, Mandy?" Olivia asked. Crossing the street with the girls, Olivia frowned the moment she realized what she had just asked Amanda. "Uhhh! You actually don't have to answer that. I shouldn't have even asked that,"
Amanda signed as she patted Olivia on the shoulder. "No need to feel bad, Liv. I knew someone was going to ask me that question. Maybe! I don't know yet, though. I'm still healing from my divorce with Trevor,"
"That's understandable, Mandy. Nobody here is going to rush you into dating again. And if they do, I will happily kick their ass,"
Amanda nodded.
As she contuined to walk around her sister-in-law's Raven's commuity with both Olivia and Amanda, the first thing Kirby Reed-Prescott did was jump right on Olivia's back.
Olivia chuckled.
"Kirb! I love you and all, but you do have your own two legs," Olivia said.
Kirby laughed as she ruffled up Olivia's hair, causing the doctor to whine. "Oh! I know that, Livie, but my legs were starting to hurt, and Sidney isn't here for me to jump on her back,"
"You're lucky that I love you, Buttercup. Fine! You can stay on my back for a few more minutes, but then that's it,"
Kirby nodded.
As she, Kirby, and Olivia contuined to walk around New San Fransico, Amanda suddenly saw a long black-haired girl texting on her phone, causing the youngest Prescott/ McPherson to stop in her tracks.
Without thinking twice about anything, Amanda suddenly found herself walking toward the girl while both Olivia and Kirby watched her in confusion.
"Hey! I was just walking by with my friends when I noticed you standing here all alone. Do you uh want any company?" Ughh! That was a terrible way to talk to someone, Amanda. You used to be good at flirting.....right, Trevor broke my heart six months ago.
Raven laughed.
Rubbing the back of her neck in embracement, Amanda slowly looked down at the ground just as Sidney, Maggie, and Raven walked over toward Olivia and Kirby without Amanda noticing.
"You have lovely hair," Amanda said.
Raven chuckled. "Thank you. You have lovely hair as well,"
"Thank you! Has anyone ever told you that you're very beautiful," AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I wanna throw myself off a bridge, but I can't since I have a son.
Over toward Sidney and the others, the former lawyer slowly turned toward both her wife and neice as she and her sisters tried their hardest not to break down laughing.
Olivia laughed.
"At least Amanda is finally trying to get back out there," Raven said. Crossing her arms over her chest, Raven chuckled at her youngest sister before she shook her head. "How much does everyone wanna bet that Amanda panics when she realizes that she's flirting with the New Raven?"
Maggie frowned. "Can we not bet on our baby sisters emtional sate, Rav. Plus, I don't think she will panic that much when she finds out,"
"Raven seems into it, though. Looks like Amanda's terrible flirting works on anyone, but then again, she's only bad at it because she had to divorce Trevor, who is still in love with a murderer. Good thing Jillian won't be getting out anytime soon,"
Kirby and the others nodded.
As she contuined to flirt terribly with Raven, Amanda finally noticed that her three sisters were watching her crash and burn with Olivia and Kirby, causing Amanda to whine mentally in her head.
Looks like Sidney and the others won't be letting her live this down anytime soon.
"Is it hot out here, or is it just you I MENT ME!!! Not that you're not hot becuase you are," Great! McPherson/ Prescott, you just insulted the girl without trying. She must think I hate her now. Trevor damaged me so badly.
Raven chuckled. "You are adorable. Has anyone told you that before?"
Amanda nodded.
Back over toward Sidney and the others, the former lawyer chuckled as she and the others contuined to watch as Amanda flirted with the new Raven.
"Trevor really did damage Amanda's self-confidence," Sidney said. Crossing her arms over her chest, Sidney looked over at her sisters, Neice, and wife sadly. "Hopefully, she can slowly get it back one day becuase she deserves happiness,"
Kirby nodded as she finally jumped down from Olivia's back. "She will get it back, Babe. I just know it becuase she has us to help her no matter what,"
"That's true, my love. Trevor's just lucky that he gave me a nephew and that he's your brother becuase he would be dead to me right now,"
Watching as Olivia began to stretch, Kirby nodded before she slapped her best friend on the back of the head, causing Olivia to whine in pain as she rubbed the back of her head.
Olivia pouted.
Back over toward Amanda and Raven, the nervous-looking ex-Marnie found herself nervously looking down at her feet while Raven contuined to chuckle to herself at how adorable Amanda was being.
"Can I have your number? WAIT! NO, that was meant to be a pick-up line," Amanda whined. Slapping herself angerily on the face, Amanda let out a small, frustrated sigh. "Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!"
Raven frowned while Amanda contuined to slap herself in the face. "Hey! Hey, don't do that to yourself. Everyone forgets things. Okay! Nobody is perfect at anything,"
"I'm sorry for wasting your time. I won't do it again, I promise. I have to head back down now before my son wakes up and wonders where I am. He's a momma's boy after all,"
With that said, Amanda quickly ran after Raven, not giving the black-haired girl a chance to say anything to stop her before she rushed past Sidney and the others.
After watching as Amanda ran away from her in confusion, Raven finally looked toward Sidney and the others before she crossed her arms over her chest.
Raven frowned.
"Is she alright?" Raven asked.
Sidney sighed as she placed her hands behind her back. "It's complicated at the moment, Raven. We can tell this, though. That was her first time flirting with someone in six months,"
"That explains why she always seems distressed when she messes up. Whoever hurt her feelings is an asshole," Raven said. "Listen, can you guys let her know that she wasn't bothering me, or wasting my time. I actually liked it, and thought she was cute,"
"Will do, Raven. We should get back to her now, though. Kenneth doesn't like it when his mom is hurt or in distress,"
Raven nodded.
Waving goodbye to Raven with a small frown on her face, Sidney finally began to walk back over toward her sister's Raven's house, causing her sisters to follow after her, while Kirby happily jumped back onto Olivia's back, causing the doctor to frown like a little girl not getting their way.
After watching as Sidney and the others walked away from her, Raven slowly turned around before she began to walk toward her own place with a small frown still plastered on her face.
Maybe one day, Raven will be able to learn what happened to the mystery girl so she can show her that she wouldn't make the same mistake.
