Chapter One: OIivia Reunites With Valerie And Kim
After helping Olivia back to her hosptial bed, Trevor Sheldon finally gives the guitarist the first of two gifts he brought for her. Helping Olivia out of her mom's car, Trevor promises Julie that he won't let anything happen to Olivia. Placing some ice on Olivia's ankle, Valerie sits down next to her girlfriend on the couch. Placing a kiss on Olivia's forehead, Valerie rushes off into the kitchen to help Julie with the food.
I was stuck on what to name this story, but I finally decided on Temporarily Blindness. And like always, the first chapter of my new stories will always be sucky.
Walking inside Woodsboro Commuity Hosptial the next morning with a bag in his left hand, Trevor found himself walking over to where Julie Morris was talking to both Hannah and Dave at the front desk.
Placing the bag onto the front desk beside Julie, Trevor gave Olivia's mom a warm smile before he began to look around for any sign of the guitarist.
"Morning, Julie. Do you know when Olivia can leave here?" Trevor said. Leaning against the front desk, Trevor tapped the side of the bag gently with a bright smile. "I brought her a gift. It will help her get around,"
Julie smiled as she looked over at the gift beside her. "Morning, Trevor. She will be leaving the hosptial in a few hours,"
"Can I bring her the gift, Miss. Morris? I also have another gift waiting for her at the house; she is going to love it more than this one, I just know it,"
Julie nodded.
Giving Julie a small thankful smile, Trevor grabbed the gift from the front desk before he headed off toward Olivia's hosptial room.
Arriving at Olivia's hosptial room happily, Trevor walked inside the room only to find Olivia trying to find her way back to her bed with a terrified look on her face.
"Liv! Hey, what are you doing out of bed?" Trevor asked.
Leaning against the wall for support, Olivia began to feel around for her hosptial bed. "Trevor! Is that you? I went to the bathroom, and now I can't find my way back to bed,"
Trevor nodded.
Placing the gift bag down on the foot of the bed, Trevor quickly rushed over to Olivia's side before he gently wrapped one of her arms around his shoulders.
Gently sitting Olivia down on the bed, Trevor began to look the guitarist over for any injuires while Olivia gently placed her hands onto his face, wanting to make sure it was actually Trevor in front of her.
"Why aren't you in school, Trev?" Olivia asked.
Trevor smiled as he helped Olivia lie down on the bed before he grabbed the gift happily. "I bought you a gift, Liv. Well, I got you two gifts, but for now I can only give you one,"
Olivia nodded.
Taking out the gift from the gift bag, Trevor gently unfolded it before he gently grabbed Olivia's left hand, as he gently placed the handle of the cane in her hand, causing Olivia to frown.
"What is this, Trev? It feels like a handle of a cane or something," Olivia said.
Trevor smiled as he sat down on the couch in front of the window. "It's called a moribity cane or a long cane. It will help you get around since you're temporarily bl-"
"Blind! Sorry, Trevor. I didn't mean to snap at you like that," Olivia said. "I'm still getting used to being blind and all,"
"Hey! You don't have to apologize to me, Liv. You just learnt that you're blind becuase of a prank gone wrong and that you don't know when your vision will come back,"
Olivia frowned.
Slowly leaning back into the couch, Trevor crossed his arms over his chest before he crossed his legs, while Olivia began to tap her cane onto the ground gently.
"So! What's the other gift, Trev? I wanna try to forget about my condition for a while," Olivia said.
Trevor laughed as he looked up at the ceiling, happily. "Now that is something you will have to wait and see, Liv. But don't worry, though, you will be finding out what it is soon,"
"But I hate surprises, though, Trev. I punched you in the face once, remember," Olivia said. "Can't I at least get a small hint, Trevor Sheldon. I'm blind here, so I can't even see it,"
"You don't have to see the second gift, Liv. Your other senses will guide you to it, hopefully mainly your sense of smell. Now, why don't you try to take a nap while you wait to leave here?"
Olivia nodded.
Getting up from the couch, Trevor walked over to Olivia's side before he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, causing Olivia to slowly close her eyes.
After making sure Olivia was going to end up rolling off the bed, Trevor placed her cane onto the table beside her bed before he finally walked out of the room to go find Julie.
Trevor will be by Olivia's side no matter what, even if she doesn't want him around. He will make sure Olivia knows that he does care about her.
(A Few Hours Later. The Morris Household)
Getting out of the backseat of Julie's car with Olivia's cane in his left hand, Trevor made his way over toward the passenger side of Julie's car with a bright smile on his face.
Opening up the passenger side of the car, Trevor gently helped Olivia out of the car before he placed the cane into Olivia's left hand, causing the latter to smile to the right of her, thinking Trevor was there.
"I'm going to grab us something to eat. How does pizza and wings sound to you guys?" Julie said.
Slowly bending down a little beside the passenger side window, Trevor gave Julie a small, warm smile. "Pizza and wings sound amazing, Julie. I'm going to take Olivia inside now, and I promise to keep an eye out for her. Nothing will happen to her,"
"Thank you, Trevor. You have no idea how much I appreciate you doing this for me," Julie said. "I love you, Olivia. I will be back soon,"
"I love you too, Mom. Don't worry about me, Trevor won't let anything happen to me, unlike his sister, who helped blind me,"
Julie nodded.
Watching as Julie finally drove off, Trevor turned to face Olivia, only to find the guarist waving goodbye to a tree, thinking it was her mom, causing Trevor to frown.
"Let's get you inside, Liv. Your final gift is waiting for you," Trevor said. Standing beside Olivia protectively, Trevor began to lead her toward the house. "You're going to love this last gift, Liv.
With that said, Trevor helped Olivia walk up the porch stairs before he unlocked and opened the front door while Olivia tapped the end of her cane onto the ground.
Helping Olivia inside the house carefully, Trevor slowly closed the front door while Olivia began to sniff around the moment something caught her nose.
Olivia frowned.
"Why do I smell Valerie's perfume, Trev?" Olivia asked.
Trevor chuckled to himself, watching as Kim and Valerie walked out of the kitchen. "I don't know, Liv. Why do you think you smell their perfume?"
"Now I smell Kim's perfume. Trev! Are you holding something of theirs up to my nose?"
Trevor laughed.
After guserting for Valerie and Kim to move closer to Olivia, Trevor finally gave the sisters the "Do it" signal, causing Valerie and Alex to happily nod their heads.
"Hey, Babe. Kim's here with me as well. We heard about what happened to you and came rushing back to Woodsboro," Valerie said.
Olivia frowned as she began to feel around for Valerie with her free hand. "Val! Is that you, Babe? Where are you and Kim right now? I can't see you guys at the moment,"
"Yes, it's me, Liv. Hang on, Babe, I'm going to stand in front of you,"
Olivia nodded.
Walking over to Olivia's side, Valerie gently placed her hands on her girlfriend's face, causing Olivia to grab her hands while Kim grabbed her cane before it could hit the ground.
"Wait! Kim's here as well?" Olivia asked.
Kim smiled as she placed a hand on her future sister-in-law's shoulder. "Yeah, I'm here, Liv. How are you feeling now that you're out of the hosptial?"
"Better, I guess. I mean, I still can't see anything, but my eyes no longer hurt,"
Kim nodded.
Slowly feeling around for her cane, Olivia let out a small yelp of surpise when someone placed it back in her hand, causing Olivia to tap her cane onto the ground, hoping to find the person's foot.
"Liv, why are you hitting the ground with the end of your cane?" Kim asked.
Olivia pouted. "Trying to find the person who gave me my cane back. Maybe next time they will warn me before handing it back to me,"
"Noted! Noted, sorry, I won't just hand it back to you next time,"
Olivia nodded.
Watching as Olivia used her cane to guide her into the "living room", Valerie whined the moment Olivia collided with the coffee table, causing the latter to whine in pain.
"Ow! Who moved the coffee table? Ow!"Olivia whined. Using her cane to move away from the coffee table, Olivia began to walk to the left her only to find herself falling to the ground after her leg got caught on something. "AHHH! My ankle!"
Trevor whined as he quickly rushed to Olivia's side with Kim while Valerie panickly rushed into the kitchen. "I think you just strained it, Liv. Here! Let Kim and me help you onto the couch,"
"I just wanted to sit on the couch by myself. But I can't becuase I can't see shit,"
Trevor nodded.
Slowly wrapping one of Olivia's arms around her neck gently while Trevor did the other one, Kim slowly began to lift Olivia up from the ground before both she and Trevor helped Olivia sit on the couch.
Gently placing Olivia's left ankle onto the coffee table, Trevor watched as Valerie came rushing back into the living room with some ice in her hands.
Rushing back over to Olivia's side worriedly, Valerie gently placed the ice onto Olivia's ankle before she finally sat down next to her girlfriend, causing Olivia to frown.
"It's just me, Babe. I placed ice on your ankle to help it feel better," Valerie said. Watching as Julie walked inside the house with two large pizzas, wings, and two 2 litters, Valerie waved at Olivia's mom happily. "Hey, Miss. Morris, do you need any help with that?"
Julie chuckled as she kicked the front door closed with her right foot. "Hey, Val. I got it, sweetie, but thank you for asking. Actually, would you like to help me prepare the food, Val?"
"Of course, Miss. Morris. Are you going to be okay, Babe?" Valerie asked. "I'm going to go help your mom prepare the food for us, but I will be back once I'm finished,"
"Yeah, I'm going to be okay, Babe. Plus, I can feel both Trevor and Kim's eyes on me. Go help my mom prepare the food for us,"
Valerie nodded.
Getting up from the couch gently, Valerie placed a loving kiss onto Olivia's forehead before she happily rushed inside the kitchen to help Julie with the food while Trevor and Kim watched Olivia like hawks.
Slowly grabbing her cane that was resting beside her on the couch, Olivia let out a small broken-up sigh before she placed her head against the handle of the cane as a few tears escaped down her face.
It's going to be a very long and stressful few weeks and or months for Olivia, but deep down she knows that with her friends and family by her side, she will be alright.
