Discontented growls shake his bones whenever he sees Taerae and Matthew playfully bickering during practice, Matthew hanging off Taerae and asking for a kiss while Taerae pretends to be antagonized. Gunwook knows better. He sees how Taerae subtly leans into Matthew, as if he thinks no one was watching.
Gunwook always is.
The beast is angry and tempestuous, but it is also a coward.
How could Gunwook ever hope to mean more to Taerae, when he already has so much love from the other members? What could Gunwook ever give him that he doesn’t already have?“Do you ever wish you could date properly, Gunwook-ah?” Taerae’s voice cuts over the din of the tv. Gunwook knows him well enough to catch the tremble in his voice.
He has to swallow around the lump in his throat before he can answer. “Yeah, sometimes.” He doesn’t say that he’d take just one kiss from Taerae and nothing more, if that was all he was allowed.
