The Play House

Summary:

Penelope Featherington always believed she knew the Bridgerton brothers. They were charming, protective, and loyal to their family above all else. However, she never imagined what lay beneath that charm, what lay beneath the Bridgerton house.

When Penelope is brought to the basement, she discovers that the men she grew up trusting are far more dangerous than she ever realized. The brothers has waited longer than anyone knows, and now that they finally have their wives, they has no intention of letting them go.

Now that Colin brought her here, Penelope must navigate a world where love is an obsession, possession and dangerous devotion, and escape may no longer be possible. She's not the only woman trapped in the houses, Sophie and Kate have been there for longer than her.

Before you start reading, I want to make sure its clear that this story is a form of remix/inspiration of a published fanfiction on Archive of Our Own. The original story is Playing House by Mdilikewhoa, and I have used the context and the setting to develop the original story to my liking. While reading the original story I often imagined the plots could flow differently with more focus on other couple, so I decided to write it while maintaining the essence of the story. I also imagined how the dark ending would plot out, so I decided to just write it. Please show love to the original writer!
