Summary
Miles Edgeworth doesn't have friends, and he likes it that way.
Third grade is beneath him, anyways. His classmates are immature and idiotic, and if they could see the top-notch defense attorney he'll become, they'd regret ever daring to make fun of him. Of course, it doesn't matter what they say or do, because before he knows it, Miles will be studying law far away, and he'll never have to think about any of them again. But the infantile affairs of elementary school seem to drag on ad infinitum, and he'd do anything to make those days arrive sooner.
Enter Phoenix Wright, artist, latchkey kid, and self-proclaimed dinosaur. Miles can't figure out why, but there's something about him that's hard to ignore. So when he decides Miles is the best thing since sliced bread and becomes set on befriending him, it's all but impossible to resist. It might end up being the most foolish decision Miles has ever made, but he has to know more about this boy. So he gives in. He throws caution to the wind and allows himself to be swept up in the highs and lows of his first-ever friendship. For Phoenix, he's willing to take that risk—even if it means putting up with Phoenix's other new friend, the buffoon known as Larry Butz.
