Summary
I’ve always felt like there was a noticeable gap in the story between chapter 29 and chapter 30. Maybe not something essential to the plot, but definitely something that would have been interesting to explore.
First, a conversation between Niko and Jeremy about what just happened. Especially since Jeremy was left speechless after Bran punched Niko.
Second, Jeremy’s perspective after learning everything, followed by a discussion between him and Cecily. Cecy would be pretty upset about the whole situation with Landon, and especially about the fact that Bran is emotionally hurt because of Niko.
Third, Niko going to New York that week after hearing what happened to Mia, leading to a sort of “reunion” between him and Landon. Niko would barely manage to hold himself back from punching him again, but the thought of Bran, more than anything, helps him keep control. And of course, Landon looking at Niko suspiciously, with plenty to say about the fact that he should stay as far away from his brother as possible.
It wouldn’t be anything very long, just three parts, and it’s mostly for myself. Every time I reread God of Fury, it always feels like something is missing in that moment.
