Summary
A man dies in one world and wakes as Rhaegar Targaryen, heir to the Iron Throne.
It could be worse. He could have woken as Aerys.
Unfortunately, he has inherited a prophecy-obsessed silver prince with a fondness for melancholy harp solos and tragic decisions. He remembers enough to know how this story ends, and he has no intention of dying handsomely on a riverbank for it.
With a volatile father on the throne, ambitious lords circling, and winter gathering beyond the Wall, he chooses preparation over destiny.
