Chapter Text
“You can touch my elbows, if that helps.”
The bizarre sentence, and how nonchalant it was, snapped Bakugou out of his morning brain fog.
Absolutely bewildered by what he just heard, he turned to see Soy Sauce Face standing by Deku’s desk. Which, granted, wasn’t that weird because that guy’s desk was right next to Deku’s. But he was still at a distance where Bakugou would start to get miffed if someone were that close to him.
“What the fuck are you two talking about?” he snapped. He didn’t need the precious minutes he had before class officially started to be ruined yet again by some inane conversation that idiot Deku had with one of the classmates who sat near him.
“Well, you see, Sero was wondering if I had any advice on how to optimize the speed at which he ejects his tape,” Deku started to ramble, “While he had originally thought faster is better, we realized that too high a velocity could result in less effective manipulation of—”
“Can you just get to the point?” Bakugou interrupted, out of habit, even though he already knew the answer to that question.
Surprisingly, neither Deku nor Sero (right, that was his name) said anything, and Sero instead just rolled up his left sleeve, revealing his suspiciously tape roll-shaped elbow joint. A little piece of tape popped out.
“Figured it might be helpful if he felt around,” Sero shrugged.
Sure, Deku was a quirk-obsessed little dweeb. But it was one thing to observe someone and another thing to touch them, Bakugou knew. That nerd was a shy guy, so surely—
With one knobby hand, the freckle-faced boy firmly gripped Sero’s exposed elbow, and with the other, he grabbed the piece of tape, pulling on it. He bit his lip intently, pondering the joint and its discharge.
“It’s thicker than I thought it would be…..” Deku mused wistfully, as he rubbed the tape with his fingers.
“Be careful, it’s most sticky when it first comes out,” Sero warned.
Bakugou had seen enough. He sighed and turned back around to face the blackboard. Those two minutes left before class started couldn’t go by fast enough.
