Chapter Text
Will's been getting a lot of..attention lately. I hate it. He's reserved for my eyes and my eyes only. Those girls, they're placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, laughing at all his jokes, smiling when they meet his eyes. Only I should be able to do that.
Today, Josephine Anderson has decided to be Will's lab partner. He knows that's something we do together, why would he be lab partners with..her? I hear them whispering and laughing. Snorting. Fuck! I hate her.
My rage gets the best of me.
"Will can I talk to you for a second?" I try to say calmly, while shooting daggers at Josephine.
He stops mid-laugh, did I make him upset?
"Oh, um. Sure."
I pull him into the corner and lower my voice.
"Why are you getting all buddy buddy with Josephine Anderson?"
"What? Mike, I can have other friends."
My breathing fastens. I obviously know that.
"I..I know that, Will. I'm just saying we're usually lab partners."
His confused gaze softens.
"Mike, I'm sorry. I know I kinda left you out there. Do you wanna join our group?"
I look in those kind eyes and smile.
"Yeah, that would be nice."
He returns to his place at the table, then I grab my shit and join him.
I fake the kindest smile I can, but also not really because I want to let her know to back the hell off.
"Hi, Josephine." I say snarkily.
She rolls her eyes.
"Hello, Mike."
The whole rest of science class she keeps touching him. Grabbing his shoulder firmly, gently playing with his hair, kicking his feet under the table.
The bell rings, finally it's time to leave this place. She won't have any more time with him.
I am angry. Outraged. How could she flirt with him like that? I basically run out of the building, my vision clouded with red. I get to my car and slam the door shut, taking a huge breath. I think I black out for a few moments.
Then, a knock on my window.
"Mike, you alright?" Will pounds on the window.
I sit up, startled. Then relax because, it's just Will.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm okay."
He gets in the passenger seat.
"We going straight home, or what?"
"Uhh, yeah. I definitely need a nap."
He nods and I hit the gas, driving to our shared house.
Once I turn the car off, I immediately run inside the house to my room. I lay down on my bed, a massive headache brewing.
"Fuuuuuuccck." I moan.
Beside my headache, there's an obvious reason why I'm upset. Josephine fucking Anderson. She knows I was mad. I'm convinced she did it just to spite me. Or maybe she genuinely likes Will, that thought makes me even more angered. I know an easy solution to stop her annoyance.
I dress up in a full black outfit, completed with a black face mask. I wait till it's dark, everyone's asleep. I grab a knife or two from the giant block in the kitchen.
I run out to my car, trying not to activate the lights from our garage. I finally close the door and sigh. I am going to do this. She deserves it. Images of her flirting with Will fill my mind, each one adding a layer of anger and rage.
I know where she lives, after all, our moms are friends. Luckily for me, Josephine's parents are out of town tonight.
I speed off to her house, a three story house on the opposite side of town. I park the car in her drive way and get out. I pick the lock in the front door, opening it just enough so it doesn't make a loud noise. I gently close it behind me and embark on my journey to find her room. I creep down the hallways, inspecting each room. Until I find one at the very end of the hallway, blasting music and yellow light pouring out of the crack in between the door and the floor.
I open the door widely, so she can see my black eyes.
"Knock knock, Jo."
Her face is painted in pure fear. It's beautiful, it's perfect.
The first stab is amazing, why didn't I do this before? It plunges in her ugly heart, spraying blood all over my black attire. I smile beneath the mask, she can tell.
I slowly pull the knife out, then plunge it back in so she hollers in pain again. Will would want this. I repeat the same process of inserting and removing the knife a few times, till she's just about dead. Then, I start carving.
"You knew to stop flirting with Will." I whisper, leaning into her ear as I split the skin on the corners of her lips.
Blood pours down her chin, a huge red smile now lays across her pale face. I killed her. I smile.
I quickly dispose of the body, cleaning up precisely, not a drop of blood or evidence left behind. I'm good at this.
