Summary
His entire being, a sword. His soul, a world of blades. His life, a rusted and broken thing, too painful to even look at. He fought for a shining ideal and found himself betrayed by it. In the name of guarding humanity’s progress, he was used as a tool of slaughter. And thus, his life had no meaning, for his heart had long since shattered like glass.
But even if the scars remain, even if the wounds will never heal, even if his regrets will cling to him forever like persistent rust, perhaps he can still be given a way to relearn meaning again…just not in his own world.
