Summary
After nearly 15 years, Nigel and an old friend run into each other and start to reacquaint themselves. The story is intended to take place in 2025.
“Oh my God! You guys are never going to guess who I ran into last night!”
She grabs a handful of popcorn from the bowl on your lap. “Who?” she asks, her eyes wide.
“Nigel Braun.”
She sits there, chewing her popcorn, thinking. “The name sounds familiar but I can't place it. Did he play soccer with you?”
“No!” you laugh. “We went to school together.”
“Did he come over and study a few times?” she asks, still trying to place his name with a face.
“Yeah.”
“He had a crush on you,” your sister shouts from the kitchen as she pours a few glasses of wine.
“He did not!” you scoff.
“He did!”
