Summary
"Many eyes go through the meadow, but few see the flowers in it." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
The jetii is coughing. Jango didn't even realize they could get sick. Jango's not even sure when he started caring about this particular jetii, but there's something about Kenobi that's gotten him thinking.

Kal’s eyes narrow in on the dha’kad’au at Jango’s feet. “Alor,” he says, and raises a fist over his heart.
Jango’s heart squeezes painfully in his chest. “You can’t,” he says. He’d wanted to be Mand’alor once. He’d been so proud when Jaster started training him. Honored to start working with his own commandos. And when he’d taken up the mantle, grief-stricken and reluctant, he hadn’t been ready for it at all. He wants to take the dha’kad’au and fling it into a mine shaft. The buzzing in his mind returns for a moment and vanishes, leaving him with a headache. He gestures at the landscape around him, depleted mines and sparse vegetation. “I can’t be responsible for all of this. I still have a mission, I still have—” he can’t breathe, suddenly, and has to pull off his helmet.
Kal takes a step forward, his hands up, placating. “I respect your mission. I am glad for it.”
Jango drops to his knees, unable to hold himself up. “You can’t,” he says again. His eyes sting with tears.
Kal sinks down next to him, still an arm’s length away. He pulls off his own helmet. “This won’t be like the last time,” he says. “We made a mistake. We leaned on you before you were ready.”
