Bookmark Notes:
Draco was sent back in time sometime after the Battle of Hogwarts into the body of his 11 year old self, by the centaurs in order to "save everyone". He befriended Harry, Ron and Hermione. Scabbers was revealed (by Draco) to be Pettigrew, who was sent to Azkaban, from where he later escaped. Sirius Black was (eventually) found innocent and released from Azkaban, and got custody of Harry.
Draco and Harry both ended up in the Triwizard Tournament- Harry was entered by Barty Crouch jr (who was pretending to be Filch) in a plot unrelated to Voldemort and Pettigrew's plan to resurrect Voldy.Draco stays with Harry and Sirius (on Narcissa's request, as she wanted him safe from Voldemort) at grimmauld. Remus is the secret keeper. At the Battle in the Department of Mysteries, Lucius ended up getting killed (trying to protect Draco). Draco inherited everything but cannot kick voldy & death eaters out of Malfoy manor as he’s too young to alter the wards.
Some of the characters whose fates particularly differ from canon:
Cedric Diggory is still alive & hopefully may be keen on Draco.
Sirius Black is legally free (and still alive)
Lockhart never lost his memories. He was sent to Azkaban but escaped during the Death Eater break-out.
Dobby is Draco's elf (rather than a free-elf)
The basilisk is still alive, and now named Sarah
Umbridge is dead. Turns out Sarah ate her (however, most people think she's on the run).
Lucius Malfoy is dead killed by Beatrix when Lucius was defending Draco in the battle at the ministry of magic over the prophesy.
Harry tried dating cho in volume 5. It didn’t work out.
Cedric Diggory keen to join aurors & has just joined order of phoenix.
Theo just turned up injured saying he’s left voldy & his dad. Ch2
