Summary
A few years ago, Charles never would have even considered stepping foot inside The Magnus Institute. It’s the place you go when you’ve gone a little round the bend or are trying to convince yourself you don’t belong in the loony bin. They’ll listen to anyone off the street who’s had a ‘supernatural encounter’ of any kind, no matter how many screws they have loose. They’re an eccentric lot, which has given the place quite the reputation.
But now…
Charles heaves out a defeated sigh, leans his head against the somehow too warm bus pole, and tries not to vomit. What he saw last week couldn’t have been real. It doesn’t make any sense. Dead people don’t randomly show up again. They’re dead.

After trying to ignore a childhood supernatural encounter for years, Charles finally gives in and goes to the Magnus Institute to give his statement. It doesn't turn out like he expected.
