Summary
1999. Two teenagers meet on an internet message board, nothing more than screennames on a glowing monitor. Then one night changes everything. Jey survives the unthinkable. Rhea becomes the only person he can talk to about it.
Through years of late-night log-ins, blinking cursors, and words typed and deleted, they become lifelines for each other: first through banter, then through confessions, and finally through truths too heavy to say out loud.
But surviving doesn’t end when the headlines fade. It follows them into every silence, every laugh, every key they press. And as they grow older, their bond has to live outside the wire: between trauma and tenderness, guilt and hope, family and love.
A story told through IMs and immersive fragments, about two people trying to stay alive in the aftermath and what it means to be “still here.”
